Great historic hotel. Stay here for the experience, but beware... the rooms are small but very quiet with thick walls and a great bed. Lacks storage and bathroom is quite small. Elevators are really cool, but a little inconvenient with manually open/close doors. Restaraunt is great and the staff is very professional and friendly. Rooftop lounge is a really cool addition to hotel offerings!

It was very nice design, but the old elevator and then one was down was very inconvenient for time. It was a great historic eye piece, but not much for reliable and efficient.

My first impression was that of a 100 yr old flophouse with a fresh coat of drab paint. Over priced for passing itself off as an interesting reminder of hotel conditions in the 1890's. We returned at 11 pm following dinner to find the hotel valet service took over a dozen public parking spots charging $60 to park from 11pm to 7am. The 2 elevators are 100 yrs old, hold 2-3 people, sound and feel like they are unsafe. One staff member said the city was trying to have them replaced. There was a bottle of water in the room available for $16. Bottom line is . . never again!

Shady charges

They charged me for mini bar that I did not use. After saying they’d refund me, they never processed. It’s crazy because they advertise fridges, but it’s stocked with expired goods without any room for you. Hotel wall soundproofing is nonexistent. Saving grace was the restaurant bar.
