My family booked an 8 night stay at this hotel. We booked 6 months in advance based on all the great reviews, amenities and proximity to our family. It was by far the best fit for our needs in San Diego over Christmas. One week prior to our trip, I called the hotel to confirm the details of our room. I was reassured that indeed we had a suite and it would be ready when we arrived. 24 hours before we were due to fly out, the hotel called us and cancelled. They offered to rebook us elsewhere and give us $50 for our troubles. (The total cost was going to be $3000. $50??) After hours and hours and a half dozen phone calls, we ended up in another Sonesta hotel at a discounted rate. It was adequate but I am still angry about how it happened. We were told it was due to maintenance issues. More likely, it was an overbooking. Regardless, the situation caused extensive stress for our family. Beware to anyone who feels confident they have a reservation.

Great staff, bad IT

The hotel did not have a record of my booking due to computer issues. It took over an hour to get it sorted out. Apart from that, the rooms were clean and spacious and the staff went out of their way to help.

The air conditioning fan wouldn't turn off. When we tried using the phone to call for help, the phone was hung up on twice. While we still were checked in, we kept getting people knocking to completely clean our room

The studio was great. Kitchen had all the necessities.The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed staying there. The only thing I had an issue with was when I checked in. Wasn't aware they didn't accept cash. Added charges for parking my car there.

Loved the layout, good for wheelchair bound people. Comfy bed, nice kitchen staff, good area for kids to play outside. Disliked the 2 burner stove that didn't work, and that the laundry machines were breaking down, taking my money and my soap (which I had to repurchase for 4.00). Too much noise after hours
