Pros: nice lobby, central location, very clean room, comfy beds, valet parking, filtered water refill stations on each floor Cons: poor water pressure in shower, terrible noise. I know the area well, lived in SF for years, Union Sq isn’t a quiet part of town. But the windows provided no sound filter at all. Our room was on a low floor facing Powell and we could hear everything below until 1am and the loud beeping and clanging of delivery and construction trucks starting at 5am. Street noise obviously isn’t the hotel’s fault but the single pane, poorly insulated windows are. If noise could be an issue for you, request a higher floor or be sure to bring ear plugs.

Didn’t eat at the hotel but we had drinks @ the bar. Great drink menu. Starlight lounge, rooftop bar had a pulse, need to make reservations. The room we had, Jr Suite was very comfortable & roomy. Bed very comfortable & bathroom was roomy. Would definitely stay here again. Very walkable to Union Square, cable car area & restaurants.
