This is our second stay here. The staff is very nice, rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. Our only complaint was that the mattress was stiff. We are used to a temper pedic.

The place is entirely serviceable as somewhere to sleep however, simple, inexpensive upgrades like adding smart TVs so guests can access their streaming services, bedside lamps from this century, a legitimate continental breakfast (in lieu of a kids’ field trip option of string cheese or apple sauce to “grab and go” would take this motel from a 3 to a 4 or 5. Right now all they really have going for them is the location which is stellar. Right near the waterfront with picture perfect views of Morro Rock.

The room has a great view with a balcony and a seagull that visits ( obviously people have fed it in the past). The shower pressure was great. Something that I appreciate having long hair. The king size bed was a bit hard, but that’s a hotel bed for you. Lots of pillows, which helped.
