Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Honestly- it has just gone downhill. Used to be one of the nicer properties in the area and now it is just average, at best!
From spotty WiFi, to daily power outages, terrible overpriced food, leering staff and generally just not up to the standards it should be for the cost.
Fine- make it a standard hotel and be honest about what is and is not included. Explain that the property is not paved and shares space with ownership properties who enjoy firing off fireworks and handguns at 3 am. Explain that you NEED a golf cart. It certainly should not be in Hilton’s Curio collection and is a 2-3 star property at best.
We actually checked out 4 days early and changed hotels to save our holiday!
Pros: beach club was lovely for a bit. Bartenders (Alex) and servers over there were generally great. Jessica at the coffee shop was lovely!
Cons:
-Loud
-Poor gym set up (no towels or water or wipes)
-A general manager (male)who openly complained about Americans- who were the majority of guests at the property and was unwilling to assist with anything. Generally some staff seems to care- I get the sense that their Management does not.
-Our sink leaked.
-Our dishwasher leaked.
-We had to call to request towels each day
- housekeeping wasn’t actually “cleaning”
- rarely had hot water enough for 4 showers after a day of swim and sand
-spotty WiFi
-power outages at resort on a daily basis (not the town)
