The Space:

The house features 3 bedrooms, each with a spacious queen-size bed. All rooms have fans, and one bedroom includes air conditioning.



There are 2 full bathrooms with showers and hot pressurized water (hydrojet system), plus separate sinks in an open space. The home also offers 2 interior patios and storage areas for beach gear, a washer, and cleaning supplies.



On the rooftop, you’ll find a large terrace with loungers, a hammock, and seating—perfect for enjoying stunning Pacific sunsets.



The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped (cookware, utensils, coffee maker, blender, fridge/freezer, and a 4-burner gas stove) and connected to a spacious living and dining area.



El Puertecito is a single home set right on a pristine, marine-life-rich beach on the Oaxacan coast, designed so the indoors and the shoreline blur together. The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area flows out to two interior patios, built around the view and the sea air. Three queen bedrooms sleep six, with a sofa bed in the living room taking the count to seven.

The rooftop is the heart of the house: a large terrace with loungers, a hammock, and seating made for Pacific sunsets.



At the entrance, a jacuzzi with hydromassage and a small sandy area give kids a safe place to play with supervision and adults a place to unwind, and the private pool, a rarity on this stretch of coast, is steps away.



Beach gear, chairs, an umbrella, and towels are all provided, so you can be on the sand in minutes.

Guest Access:

The entire home is yours: all three bedrooms, the kitchen, living and dining areas, the two interior patios, the rooftop terrace, the private pool, and the entrance jacuzzi.



You also have use of the washing machine and detergent, beach chairs, umbrella, bath and beach towels, the coffee makers, and all kitchen essentials.



Self-check-in is by lockbox, and private parking is on site.



The Neighborhood:

At the door: three distinct beaches, calm natural rock pools for easy swimming, open ocean for surfing, and a bay for strong swimmers, on a quiet, marine-life-rich stretch of sand.



About 1 km along the beach is a coastal lagoon alive with birdlife, including the pelicans that gather right in front of the house.



Into town (about 25 minutes): Puerto Escondido is the area's hub for dining, nightlife, and supplies.



Playa Zicatela is Mexico's famous big-wave surf beach; Playa Carrizalillo is a sheltered cove for swimming and snorkelling (down a long stairway); and La Punta Zicatela is the laid-back sunset-and-surf district, with seafood spots like María Sirena and Santo Punta Zicatela and the rooftop sunsets at Punta Vida.



Excursions: the Manialtepec lagoon's bioluminescent night tours are a popular regional outing.



Essentials: the Chedraui supermarket and ATMs are in central Puerto Escondido.



This is the wild, quieter side of the Oaxacan coast, beach and nature first, with the town's energy a short drive away when you want it.



Getting Around:

A car is essential here, both for the 3.5 km dirt access road and for reaching town, beaches, and restaurants; private parking is on site.



Puerto Escondido International Airport (PXM) is about 30 minutes away, with flights from Mexico City and seasonal international service; Puerto Escondido town is about 25 minutes, and Huatulco is roughly 1.5 hours.



Taxis and colectivos serve the main highway but not reliably down the dirt road, so a rental vehicle is the practical choice.

Other Things to Note:

Getting here:



El Puertecito is genuinely off the beaten path. It sits off Highway 200 (around Km 167), then 3.5 km down a dirt road to the beach (watch for the handmade yellow sign).



A car is essential, and the dirt road is part of the adventure, so plan your vehicle accordingly.



Supplies: the village is very small with only basic shops, so buy groceries and drinking water before you arrive; Puerto Escondido has a large Chedraui supermarket about 25 minutes away.



Climate: the coast is hot and humid; one of the three bedrooms is air-conditioned and all have ceiling fans, so pack for warm nights.



Safety: The home currently shows no smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, and with a gas stove on site, we strongly recommend installing both.



Swimming: the beaches range from calm rock pools to strong open-ocean surf and a bay for experienced swimmers, so match conditions to your comfort and watch children closely.



Before arrival: all guests sign a short rental agreement via a secure link, required to receive access details.



Cleaning: a weekly clean is included; extra cleans are available for a fee.
