Villa Maria is like a bit of paradise with its amazing private pool and garden. It is very private being Immersed in its garden surrounded by the beautiful countryside. This beautiful Villa is all covered by stones from the outside while the inside has been lovingly restored & modernized with high quality fixtures & fittings, security system, bug nets & window shutters for those all important lie-ins. The kitchen is completed with oven and microwave and diner room has a long table with fireplace all next to a comfortable lounge. Outside a big oven and a barbecue will help you to create your own special plates. The swimming pool is the place where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful south Italian sun.
An ideal retreat for those wishing to get away from it all, but near to the town of San Vito with its many restaurants, bars & entertainment.


Located 500 meters from San Vito with its many shops, bars, restaurants. Carovigno, Ostuni, Brindisi are all nearby. Half hour drive from major tourist resorts of Alberobello, Zoo Safari at Fasano, Castellana Grottoes, Torre Canne, Monopoli, Polignano. Taranto Archeological Museum, Local cities include Brindisi, Lecce, Mesagne & Oria. Further afield are the Sassi of Matera in Basilicata, Otranto, Santa Cesarea Terme, Gallipoli & Santa Maria di Leuca. San Domenico Golf is only 40 mins. away.

The nearest beaches are less than 7 km away - the nature reserve at Torre Guaceto, Specchiolla & Santa Sabina on the Adriatic Coast.

Lovely stay

We are a family of 4 who wanted a week in the sun with a pool for the kids. This is exactly what we got. The pool was perfect for us, there was lots of inflatables left behind from previous guests too. The pool was cleaned twice during our stay. The hot tub didn't get turned on till later in the week (we didn't know to ask for it to be turned on) the hot tub was an added bonus as the sun went down / shade hit the pool around 5.30pm is (early Oct). The garden was a complete suntrap, beautifully laid out and met all of our needs. The property was clean and again met all our needs. The neighbourhood is very residential, not touristy at all (if that's what your looking for). The walk into town was aprox 10 mins, supermarket was a 5/10 min drive. The Beach was a 15 min drive. Not much to do in San Vito itself but the pool and suntrap garden is perfect for staying home. Francesco was an amazing host, very welcoming, friendly and available all through out the week whenever needed.

Truly amazing stay

From the start the communication from Francesco was brilliant. Arranging car hire for us was simple and straightforward and dropped off at the house. Not only that, but as we arrived early he arranged for us the be dropped off in town and even collected us himself when the property was ready. The property is simply perfect for any family! The pool was much needed on the hot sunny days and perfect for our needs. Everything you need is at the property and the town a 5 min walk where all the local supermarkets and restaurants are. Would highly recommend this property to everyone, but also Francesco as he puts your needs and requirements first. A truly amazing stay and would love to go there again soon!

Great Holiday!

What a wonderful stay at Villa Maria in San Vito dei Normanni! The villa is totally private and has a wonderful pool. Really close to the centre where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Great location to travel around the area of Puglia and close to Brindisi airport. The communication with owner Francesco was five star and he gave some great recommendations for restaurants and areas to visit. Thanks for a great holiday!

Excellent Place to Stay in Puglia

A great villa to stay at. Conveniently located for exploring the Puglia region from Bari down to the Southeastern tip - on checkin Francesco gave us plenty of suggestions for places to visit - we did them all. The villa itself was excellent. Spacious, clean and well equipped. The pool was spotless and even in the second half of October was in full sun for almost all of the day and therefore still warm enough to swim in. During the week Francesco texted a couple of times to make sure everything was OK - he clearly takes great pride in his guest's satisfaction. Overall a great place to stay and highly recommended.

A nice house in a good location

The house was everything we needed it to be and as described. Everything was clean and lots of things were provided for us throughout the stay. The owner was very helpful and able to sort out problems quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Spacious Property

Plenty of space in & around the property, 3 genuine double bedrooms (2 of which alternate as twins) with plenty of hanging & drawer space. Bathrooms good quality with decent showers. Lovely gardens & an excellent pool of appx 5ft deep throughout to provide welcome relief from the summer heat, which was cleaned twice during the week.

Beautiful Puglia

We stayed here for 10 nights and had a fabulous time. The first 2 days we spent by the pool and then we hired a car so went travelling. The villa is nice but needs some updating which we have mentioned to Francesco. The garden lovely but could do with the dead fruit cleaning up. The local village has some nice restaurants but is not touristy, however food and drinks are very cheap. On the whole a lovely holiday with so many gorgeous places to visit so you definitely need a car.

Wonderful Villa

Francesco was a wonderful host from the moment we arrived. He showed us around the villa and explained to us how everything worked (even the recycling bins). He told us to call him if we had any problems. The gardens are beautiful and filled with orange, lemon, fig, almond and pomegranate trees (we enjoyed the figs and almonds). The pool was great and was cleaned twice a week and is not overlooked at all. San Vito is just a 5-10 min walk away and has plenty of restaurants and bars. It is also a great base to visit some of the wonderful Towns and Cities in Puglia (Ostuni, Martina Franca, Alberobello, Taranto etc). On leaving the villa Francesco arrived to make sure we had enjoyed our stay. I told him that we had but we needed to get back to the airport because I had damaged the wing mirror on our hire car and wanted to allow time to sort out the paperwork. He said why didn't you call me I could have fixed that for you! (I'm sure he would have done ). Many thanks for a lovely holiday in your beautiful villa. Thanks Francesco Tony & Ann

Wonderful relaxing holiday

This property is ideally situated on the edge of the town in a quiet location. You can walk into town for breakfast croissants or an evening meal in 10 minutes and there are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The villa is very clean and comfortable and the pool and hot tub are perfect for cooling off from the sun. The villa is well placed for exploring the area of Puglia and Francesco, the owner, is very helpful suggesting places to visit, as well as local restaurants to eat at. We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday at this villa.

Exceeded Expectations

My wife and I stayed at Villa Maria for 4 weeks. Friends and family joined us at different times. The villa itself was perfect for our needs. The 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms were more than sufficient. Very nice private outdoor space with a pool that we used daily. The villa was ideally located for how we wanted to experience Italy. I was able to walk into San Vito every morning to pick up croissants and baguettes and enjoy a cappuccino. In the evening we walked into the main Piazza for our Gelatos. During the day we visited beautiful small towns in Puglia that were within an hours drive (Monopoli, Lecce, Gallipoli, Brindisi, Bari etc). Francesco was a wonderful host and met all of our needs. If you want to experience Italy away from the crowded touristy areas, Villa Maria is perfect.

Good house, well located, caring owner

Excellent property, close to town, but not in town. Quieter. 3 good sized bedrooms with OK beds, 2 full bathrooms. Located on a bikeway so easy to ride near home. Many historical areas to explore within 160 kms. Good gym "Saturna" across from ENI fuel station, Familla very close for groceries. Walking distance. Hot water was a challenge due to late October stay and sun/roof heating was weak. Power was finally added for tank. Many many fully functional house amenities were let down by a stove top without ignitors and a Hot Tub that was not heated to the last nite of 9 day stay. Rate this as good to better.

July 2018 - Villa Maria - San Vito Dei Normanni

The Villa was clean and as shown in the pictures. Very secure, safe and comfortable. Great Italian restaurant within walking distance (called Volcano), strongly recommend their Crayfish(European Lobster) Risotto and their pizzas are also great. easy access to the beautiful beaches to the north (Adriatic) and to the South and worth the extra drive to the South beaches with their crystal clear waters...Best we found was about 6km to the west of Punto Prosciutto on the less official beaches but a combination of rocks and beach for great snorkelling and sunbathing. The best part was actually the helpfulness of Francesco who was there to greet us with his friendly and helpful local knowledge and who was quick to react to any questions we had and repair the damage from the huge thunder storm which damaged the awning and filled the pool with leaves.

Lovely villa, good location and comfy beds!

We had a fabulous week at the villa, Francisco made sure that we had everything we needed. The rooms were comfortable, and everywhere was lovely and clean. The outdoor space was fabulous, great for the little one to run around. Great location for exploring local beaches and some of the UNESCO sites.

Excellent spacious property in a very nice setting.

We have just returned from an enjoyable week at Villa Maria. We arrived late and Francesco greeted us at the property with a welcome pack ( true 'Italian hospitality!') Mille grazie ! There was a brand new pool installed which kept the kids entertained on the sunny days. On the not so sunny days there was always the excellent WiFi! And places to visit.The villa was well equipped with plenty of space for our family of 5. It is a short walk into the local town which has supermarkets and plenty of pizza restaurants and bars/cafes as well as an ice-cream parlour, with delicious crepes! Overall we have had a great weeks holiday in a lovely part of Europe, well worth a visit.

Excellent villa

This is a lovely villa – we especially appreciated the fresh figs and apples from the large garden! The villa is well equipped with good security and a large garden with decent sized pool. There is an excellent restaurant within an easy 10 minute level walk, and within a 15 minute walk there is a good array of shops including supermarkets, bakers and petrol stations. Make sure you visit the main shopping area of San Vito which is based around the impressive Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria and has lovely shops and bars. Francesco was a great host – friendly, quick to respond and very helpful. We would certainly recommend this villa.

Belle villa, spacieuse et communication avec notre hôte très sympathique

Jolie villa de plain-pied, spacieuse, jardin agréable et très bien orienté (sud/sud-ouest) de nombreux endroits pour manger à l'ombre ou au soleil, idéalement orientée, accès au jardin par la cuisine, lits un peu durs à notre goût, environnement calme la nuit, point de départ vers de nombreux villages pittoresques, communication avec Francesco très fluide et sympathique, ! Schöner Aufenthalte

Die Villa ist gut ausgestattet, sehr geräumig und vor allem sehr sauber. Ein großes Plus sind die Moskitonetze in jedem Raum. Der Pool ist groß und es gibt mehrere Sitzmöglichkeiten rund um das Haus. Der Whirlpool hat auch einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Lage der Villa ist ein wenig am Ortsrand von San Vito dei Normanni. Man kann zu Fuß in den Ortskern gehen und ist mit dem Auto in 20 Minuten am Meer. Für Ausflüge in Apulien ist die Lage ideal. Allen voran ist aber Francesco ein sehr netter Vermieter, der für alle Fragen zu erreichen ist. Obwohl sich unser Check-In um drei Stunden verzögert hat (wegen Problemen bei der Autovermietung) gab es überhaupt keine Problem und er hat es kurzerhand anders eingerichtet. Ein sehr freundlicher Vermieter! Wir hatten als Familie einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft

Wir habten tolle 2 Wochen in diesem sehr schönen und gepflegten Haus mit Garten und Pool. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, gute Betten, Moskitonetze alles sehr sauber. Séjour parfait

L'accueil de Francesco a été parfait, toujours disponible et à l'écoute de nos besoins. Hormis le temps qui n'a pas toujours été beau, la maison est agréable, le jardin magnifique et entretenu, la piscine (froide!) et le jacuzzi (chaud!) ont été bienvenus après les visites culturelles. Het verblijf in”Villa Maria “ was werkelijk heerlijk,De villa is compleet,wasmachine,vaatwasmachine,oven ,magnetron etc.Het is van alle gemakken voorzien.De villa is op loopafstand van winkels en restaurants.De foto’s komen overeen met de werkelijkheid.. De basket was voor onze kinderen een cadeautje!Heerlijk zwembad,whirlpool en ligweide met bedjes,Twee maal per week wordt het zwembad gereinigd enfin teveel om op te noemen .De eigenaar Francesco staat te allen tijden voor je klaar! Het geheel biedt veel privacy en rust,,de auto parkeer je achter de automatische deuren , De villa was schoon en voorzien van linnengoed!!! Wij gaan in ieder geval volgend jaar terugkomen!!!,

traumhafter Urlaub

ruhiges, wundervolles Haus, geschickt geschnitten und fast vollständig eingerichtet (eine größere Pfanne wäre hilfreich), etwas abseits der Stadt aber zentrumsnah gelegen, verkehrstechnisch gut angebunden, schöne Ausflugsziele in der Nähe und ein Topp Gastgeber, Danke Francesco

Tutto fantastico

La villa è molto bella e ben tenuta. Francesco è una persona squisita e sempre disponibile per qualsiasi cosa. Consigliatissima per chi vuole vivere un'esperienza in piena tranquillità. Piscina e jacuzzi sono la ciliegina sulla torta. Bellissima esperienza.

Rien a dire. Tout était parfait !

Merci à Francesco pour son accueil, amabilité et serviabilité. Notre avion a été annulé et nous avons dû anticiper notre voyage, il nous a trouvé un autre logement et un taxi pour nous y conduire, heureusement qu’il était là ! La villa est géniale, tout pour passer de très bonne vacances. Encore un grand merci Francesco et à bientôt !
