Brisas del Mar is a well-managed hotel just a few blocks from the beach and a short walk from the Santa Barbara Pier. My wife and I have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is relaxed, with complimentary continental breakfast in the morning and wine and cheese in the afternoon. The location is excellent—easily walking to a park, the beach, and restaurants. We always take advantage of their free bike rentals too.

The hotel internet did not work and the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine is a screw cap malt liquor looking bottle that I would not drink. The rugs are marked up and the paint on the walls and door frames are chipped. For a nearly $300 hotel per night I was very unimpressed with the facility.

The room was advertised with a laundry and yet it only had one washing machine and drier for the entire property (40 plus rooms!) The laundry was shut for an entire afternoon and couldn’t be used. And to top it all off you had to pay for the use of it. Honestly, for the price this place was pretty underwhelming. The bikes and location were good.
