We stay here whenever we are in Santa Barbara. The hotel is beautiful and historic. Customer service is always top notch. They're dog friendly and valet parking is only $30 a night. We're always happy to stay here.

Don’t let the construction fool you

The hotel is under construction but the rooms have been newly updated and are bright, clean and comfortable. The location is great and the little touches like a birthday wine surprise and complimentary reusable water bottles really made the stay special! The best part is we could bring our dog and they provided complimentary beds and bowls and treats. No pet fee also!

Regardless of being under construction, this property was very clean cozy with a very friendly stuff. The location is just what you need in Santa Barbara. It’s little confusing to find the entrance because the building is under construction. And Valley parking makes it easy if you drive your own vehicle to Santa Barbara.

They were doing construction on the hotel inside and out. The elevator was not working and outside of hotel had scaffolding and the banging of construction was annoying. It would have been nice to offer a discount due to the inconvenience, but nothing was offered.

Walking around at night was not safe like it once was. With the hotel under construction, they started early in the day. There’s no “lobby” and no amenities at the hotel. Staff were pleasant, but services were limited. It’s a lot of money for something that isn’t complete. But I did accomplish a mission that I went for.

Although, it is still actively being remodeled, the floor where we stayed at is gorgeous and clean. It has been beautifully remodeled. We were not bothered by the construction noise nor dust. The service is excellent.

Close to everything

Perfect spot if you want to be close to restaurants and shopping. It's only 15 mins walk to the ocean. Every close to everything. We would definitely stay there again. The sraff was great.

The team of people who work here made our stay very enjoyable. Every person we encountered was extremely customer service focused! The location is excellent for walking anywhere. The property is currently under renovation which we were aware of. Any related issues we had were addressed by the team as best they could. We’re sure when the renovations are complete it will be a phenomenal location to stay at.

Hotels.com did not mention that the property was under construction or that the gym was closed. The room was nice and the staff was as well, but had we known of this before hand, we would have chosen to stay elsewhere.

The hotel was under construction which was not communicated to us. The room was $350 per night and was extremely small!! The queen bed filled the entire room other than a small area around the bed to walk. We had no hot water and the front desk said they were aware but maintenance would not arrive until 9 am.

Amazing property

Amazing stay right down to the sparkling water on tap. Rooms are small as they were in the 1920’s but they made great use of the spaces. Blown away by this place. Central to State st plenty of choice. Great coffee in room

Great location!
