Hyatt Hotels - accommodation in Santa Barbara

Upon arrival we were a little concerned. The outside of the building looked a little dated and worn. Stepping inside the lobby it was nothing fancy, but it was clean and well maintained. They had a complementary coffee machine with a variety of choices and cookies to go with it. Heading up to the room on the 3rd floor we were still a little worried about what we would find. Opening the door we were pleasantly surprised! The room was clean and well maintained! You can tell it’s an older property, but it’s been nicely renovated. The bed was comfortable, the a/c worked great, and the water pressure in the shower was good! The following morning they offered a very light breakfast snack of oatmeal and some pastries with orange juice and the above mentioned coffee machine. The old real downside was the pool and hot tub. It’s a very small area and while the pool water was clear, the hot tub looked a bit off. The area itself could use a little love to make it more inviting. With all that said, it’s a solid property, great staff, close to the water and restaurants. We would not hesitate to stay there again!

Great hotel right on State Street. My only issue is the design of the shower. Very difficult to not get the floor wet with one non-moving piece of glass.

Prime location across from beach and walking distance to downtown restaurants, bars and shops. Great value compared to many surrounding properties.
