So-so stay @ Lavender. Positives: Price, location and convenience to the highways. That and the staff were friendly. Negatives: Tiny indoor breakfast area with dull and lackluster continental items. Coffee tasted like charred plastic cups.

Don’t believe positive reviews! We regretted staying there. Dated, motel-style architecture and furniture. Located on a busy street, hence sleeping with open windows was not an option. But the worst part, my husband was bitten by bed bugs. Advise to staff: don’t recommend your guests taking West Montecito street walking to downtown!

Staff was nice. Amenities were great. The queen mattress was horrible to sleep on and needs an upgrade. Bad sleep despite a full busy day. Please do better with your mattresses.

Staff was helpful and pleasant. The continental breakfast was very good. The location is fantastic. Parking was easy. We had an EV and while they did have (one) charger, it was across the street and frequently unavailable. We were there 3 days and were only able to use the charger once.

I arrived at 0:30 in the morning after a five-hour drive and the front desk person refused to honor the reservation, check me in, or give me a room because of a computer issue. He did not offer to help in any way, despite two phone calls from Hotels.com to try to sort things out for me. He did not offer to call other hotels for me, did not consider giving me a room in return for holding my drivers license and credit card as a deposit and basically kicked me out and told me to go find another hotel, which I did after an hour of driving around and trying many other hotels. Please avoid this hotel at all cost. Honoring a late-night reservation is one of the most important things a hotel needs to get right. I was tired and making me drive around aimlessly for another hour at 12:30am in an unknown city is cruel and unsafe. I have been traveling regularly for more than 30 years and have never been treated as badly as at this hotel.

The owners of this Inn got it right. The room was clean, and was comfortable, and a very relaxing atmosphere. Staff was very polite, and the breakfast was delicious. I’d stay here again.
