I’ve stayed here before, it’s not the same. Service has gone down, they don’t adhere to the hours for the cafe or restaurant and close early. They ran out of parking which is a big reason we stay here. It’s only a five minute walk to the beach boardwalk. Spent 1+ hour to look for parking but being a busy weekend and so close to the boardwalk it was difficult. Had to go back and move our car later on to avoid being towed. Come to find out the hotel sells there parking on Groupon which is so shady. They can’t guarantee paying hotel guests parking (which they charge $30 per day for) because they rather sell it Groupon. What a joke.

This Marriot doesnt fit with the Marriot brand at all. I have always had exceptional service with Marriot. The employees at this location are zombies that hate their jobs except for the Manager. I will never stay here again.

Nice and clean up to date hotel. Great location near the boardwalk. Need more than one worker during check in time. Long line and wait to check in. The valet workers were very friendly and helpful getting things in and out our car.

We booked hearing accessible room. When told manager we did not get the right room, she kept repeating same phrase "my system says you are in the right room ". I showed her picture of my door that has no sign or doorbell. But she insisted that computer is showing that i am in the right room. No apologies. On the other hand at the check in people were amazing, sweet and helpful. Over all good property, rooms, breakfast place.

Very disappointing stay

Negatives: Although the posted check in time is 4 pm and I assume mgmt knew how many check ins were scheduled that day, there was a line going out the front desk area and into the bar with only ONE staff person to check in guests!! Why weren’t there more staff scheduled?? Apparently the same problem occurred several days preceding our check in day according to other guests. We specifically asked for a very QUIET room as we are very light sleepers. Normally we try to get the top floor. We were assigned a room on the 3 rd floor as no top floor rooms were available according to the desk clerk although we had made our request clear at 12:30 when we arrived and requested early check in, which we didn’t get. The room directly above us sounded like elephants were staying there. We heard the sound of footsteps running back and forth across the room and thuds that sounded like kids were jumping off of the furniture starting at 6 am and not ending until 11 pm or so. Maybe you should consider not placing families with young kids in 4th floor rooms. The second day of our stay we had to request a room “refresh” at about 3 pm as it hadn’t been done before that. When we returned an hour or so later the bed was made, dirty towels were removed, but inadequate number of towels remained: 1 bath towel, no bath mat, 2 hand towels and 3 wash cloths. Generally hotels have 4 of each and 1 bath mat for two guests in my experience. Positives: Front desk staff were extremely warm and welcoming

Very nice place would stay again. Workers were very nice. The only thing is the restaurant in the hotel had a couple of workers in the front that need to smile and be more customer service oriented

Room was clean. Only bad thing was the smell in the room when you initially walk in. Had a muggy type smell.

I arived at 4:00 pm, at check in time, my room wasn’t ready. They took my information down and said they’d let me know when it was ready( they never did ). An hour later I was furious and went to the front of thr out of control line and told them I needed my room NOW. I had been on the road for over six hours and my son had thrown up all over himself. They finally gave me my room and I went to wash his clothes and I didn’t have change . I went to the front desk to get change for the washing machine, they informed me they did not have enough change to wash and dry, but I had enough to wash. I finally had enough to wash a load of laundry than the washing machine didn’t work. The following day I called downstairs for towels, they never arrived. The morning of checkout I called to ask for extra toilet paper and they said they would send it up, 30 minutes later I still didn’t get it. I called again and they said they’ll bring it up and they never did. I had to go find a housekeeper on one of the floors to ask them for a roll of toilet paper. I have stayed at this hotel twice, this is the place that we stay every summer for our Santa Cruz trip and I will never go to this hotel again. Our experience at this hotel put a damper on our entire trip. This was the worst stay I have ever had.

The pool was tiny and not adequate for multiple families. But, the staff were amazing! Front desk and everyone involved in the cafe, from bartender to chef to baristas… awesome.
