We had a very disappointing experience with Southern Vacation Rentals. The home did not match what was advertised and raised serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance.The first floor appeared lightly cleaned, but the second and third floors had clearly not been swept or mopped in quite some time. There were visible bugs under furniture, cobwebs throughout, and an overall lack of basic upkeep.Furniture was worn down, beds were uncomfortable, and there were not enough pillows. The bathrooms were in very poor condition, including unacceptable toilet seats. The kitchen appliances showed visible wear, including dents in the refrigerator, and the pantry/laundry area felt neglected.The bikes advertised with the home were found thrown to the side of the house and not in usable condition.The property is currently listed for sale, which may explain the lack of investment, but that should not impact paying guests. Additionally, neighbors in the HOA confronted us about short-term rentals, creating an uncomfortable stay.This property was not accurately represented. We have reported this to VRBO as we do not believe it was marketed in good faith. We would not recommend this property or management company.

Nice house and lovation

The house and location were great. Not a bad walk to the beach at all. However, I only gave it 4 stars because first floor is not very cool and the internet went out on day two and all that they did was try to troubleshoot over text message. It was late in the evening so I partly get it. But all I got when it did t work was "sorry for the inconvenience." Thank goodness for our hot spots on phones or we wouldn't have had tv!
