The hotel was well kept, friendly staff that go above and beyond for your comfort. Area it’s excellent, many places to shop and dine for a good price. Beach area it’s so closed to hotel.

Perfect in Santorini

Amazing location. Very close to black sand beach. If staying more than 3 days, suggest renting a car to see all the sights and incredible sunsets. Hotel was exceptionally clean, breakfasts were very good and varied. Many, many restaurants Strolling the beach at night after dinner was a perfect way to end the day

We loved the Hippocampus for out 5 night stay. It's a well amenitied hotel with 2 beautiful pools and a 2 minute (or less) walk to the beach. It is also close to the bus stop for going to Thira/Oia. The staff (shout out to Elpida especially who clearly loves making her clients happy) is warm and very helpful. We upgraded our room to the maisonette, which is located ground level with a big porch and has 2 bedrooms (one upstairs) and a small living room. The hotel offers a nice breakfast buffet, robes, slippers, toiletries, and beach towels. The only thing we didn't appreciate was the sulphur smell that took a bit of getting used to. That being said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

Everything about this hotel is great the staff and location is excellent. We dont normally stay in hotels but this has changed our opinion and we will look at more hotels going forward. We will definitely be coming back to Hippocampus Thank you for a great holiday

I really enjoyed my stay, Kamari is a great area and the pools were amazing. Breakky in the morning was also nice. Room was on the smaller side.

Fabulous stay

Wonderful stay, lovely hotel and wonderful service. Room was lovely and very comfortable. All staff very helpful. Hotel ideal location as close to the beach , restaurants and bus stop. Fifteen minute walk to the open air cinema. We hired a car for 2 days and saw most of the island, but can do this also via bus if preferred . Would visit again and would recommend.

A wonderful hotel that we will return to

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Hippo Campus hotel. We are a family of four and we stayed in the family studio. The hotel location was perfect. Supermarket and bars/restaurants just across the street( no noise) and the beach at the end of the street. The room and all of the hotel facilities were spotless. The breakfast was lovely and there was a great choice. We also had snacks from the bar. The staff were wonderful. The lovely lady on reception organised trips for us and booked taxi’s when we needed them. My son absolutely loved the pool. We will definitely return to this hotel again .
