Great house!

This is a nice house in a quiet neighborhood steps close to the medieval center of Sarlot - walkable to town but we drove and parked the public lots. While there we rented canoes, explored the charming town. The house was very cjomfortable and the pool was great although the weather was cool while we were there. The house is simply furnished and well equipped.

Great house just outside the old town

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The host (Emanuelle) provided proactive updates in advance of our arrival, so we had no concerns that anything would go wrong before we arrived. The house is extremely large, and lots of space for everyone. The 4 bedrooms are located on two floors, and each has an ensuite, so lots of privacy for everyone. Although the weather was a little cool when we stayed, we were still able to use the heated pool a few times. With nicer weather, the backyard area would be great as it is private and has lots of space. The house is walking distance to the old town, and grocery stores are a short drive away to stock up. Overall, a great place to stay in Sarlat and highly recommended.

Sarlat Super Stay

This is a beautiful private house up the hill from Sarlat Centre Ville. The pool is nice and the house very clean and spacious. There is so much to see in the Dordogne! Emmanuelle our host was helpful and a pleasure to work with. Be sure you get clear directions on finding the house -there are many twists and turns up a tiny road to find it.

Near the city, but far enough away.

This is a very large property and good for a larger group of visitors. Emmanuelle was a great host, and very responsive when we had questions. The furnishings were very eclectic and it would’ve been nice to have a dresser in the bedrooms so that we didn’t have to live out of our suitcases, since space was not at a premium. The pool area was very nice and the kitchen was well stocked.

Fabulous house in great location

The property is exactly as pictured with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It was spotlessly clean and Emanuelle was such a lovely host. Her and her brother visited a number of times to check on the pool and keep it clean. She was very quick to respond to any queries and made check in and out very easy for us. The property is ideally placed for exploring the Dordogne and is a short walk into Sarlat itself. The hill is a little steep but it doesn't take long to walk up and we walked in and back most days. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the Dordogne.

Serenity at Sarlat

We are on a road trip through France and picked this house as it was close to Sarlat. The drive to the house just adds to the pleasure of staying here. Once in the house, we were happy to see bedrooms for each of us, with all the touches in the bathrooms one might need. the kitchen had all the amenities a cook might need with lots of space to work in!! Huge living room and dining room, but we spent our time outdoors on the patio. The quiet surroundings were a sanctuary from the business of travel. Would highly recommend this home...would definitely stay here again. the host was accessible and most helpful.

Sarlat and the Beautiful Perigord

Very comfortable, very welcoming, Emmanuelle went out of her way to make our stay everything we could wish for. Sarlat is a great base for exploring the area and this property is walkable to the town center, and far enough away from the main roads to make for quiet surroundings. Very happy with our stay.

Wonderful stay

Villa is well equipped for multiple adults with en-suite bathrooms and two bedrooms on the ground floor and two above. We travelled with our toddler, cot and high chair were provided. You need to be mobile if not hiring a car due to the hills that take you from the main road up to the villa. Lidl is right at the bottom of the hill and a really good bakery nearby (10min walk). Local buses run on time and are 4euro return - these open you up to day excursions if you don’t have a car. Sarlat train station 20min walk away as well as medieval town centre. Emmanuelle incredibly friendly and helpful for anything we needed. Great stay!

Great property in Sarlat

We stayed for 2 weeks in La Chenaie. As there was just two of us, the 4 bedroom property felt very spacious. Emmanuelle, the owner and manager, was very helpful and did regular visits to clean the pool. Her English is very good and she was very responsive through messaging and WhatsApp once we arrived. She helped us find the pre-departure PCR tests we needed, which were just off the town centre. The 11m pool was great, heated to a nice temperature and with a cover for overnight. As Emmanuelle has several other properties of similar size on the plot, this would suit two or more families that want to stay near to each other but with their own privacy. The houses can be seen but are not overlooked. She has her own website for Les Maseliades. Worth noting that there’s a short, slightly steep hill on the way to town, so may not suit anyone with mobility issues. It’s a short walk to Lidl, which opens for croissants etc at 0830 and seems to stock more fresh food than the UK ones. There’s a big LeClerc 5 minutes drive away. There’s a nice plancha-style gas BBQ which we used 3 or 4 times, including fresh shellfish from LeClerc. You have to bring your own pool towels, but kitchen is well equipped to a good standard.

Perfect Dordogne get away

Our hostess Emmanuelle was spectacular. Very responsive to our requests and helpful in making dinner reservations. The property was as spectacular as our hostess. A large home with plenty of room for 3couples. The swimming pool was a bonus as were all of the other amenities. If they allowed more than 5stars this property would be in that category

Wonderful villa - great location, lovely pool, everything you need

Loads of space and well equipped. The pool is a real sun trap, so the kids were very happy throughout. Location is amazing - quiet, yet a 10-15 mom walk to the town centre, with lovely markets, shops etc. Easy for accessing lovely villages, caves, attractions etc. Emmanuelle couldn’t be more helpful and friendly.
