At 9:30 a.m., the cleaning crew entered my room without knocking. Although they offered an apology, it’s a standard practice to knock before entering a guest room, especially since checkout isn’t until 12 p.m. It felt quite premature.
Amid the commotion, I could hear a small barking dog. It’s worth noting that the hotel is pet-friendly, allowing guests to choose whether they want to stay on the same floor as pets. Personally, I would have preferred not to be on the same floor as animals.
Unfortunately, management at the Spark dismissed my concerns, stating that my reservation was made through a third-party booking site and that the full payment for my stay was handled by them directly. Any billing issues or additional charges would need to be addressed with the third-party platform, as the hotel does not have access to those transactions.
This lack of action reflects poorly on how the hotel is managed and their overall performance. Some form of refund is in order.
