Far from the hustle and bustle, in the heart of Angeln, amidst beautiful natural surroundings and surrounded by rolling hills, I converted the Alte Meierei in Brarupholz into two lovely, spacious holiday apartments in 2020. Here you can relax in complete peace and quiet, explore the countryside, or take a quick trip to the Schlei or the Baltic Sea for long walks.
The dairy began operations in 1897. It was where milk from the village farms was collected and processed. After the dairy ceased operations in the 1960s, the building was used solely as a residence. In 2019, I purchased the building to renovate it from the ground up using eco-friendly methods. The entire house is equipped with underfloor or wall heating. The interior walls are finished with clay plaster and painted with casein paint.
The dairy in Brarupholz consists of two sections: the former farm building and the former residence of the dairyman and his family. I already converted the farm section into a holiday rental in 2020 (“Alte Meierei Brarupholz”). In 2022, I will now also be able to offer the former residence of the dairyman as a holiday rental (“Meieristenwohnung”).
The total living area of the Meieristenwohnung is 100 square metres, divided among the following rooms:
Ground Floor:
Living Room
Kitchen with Dining Area
Guest Bathroom
Hallway with Coat Rack Area
Upper Floor:
Bedroom 1
Bedroom 2
Bathroom
Hallway
Right next to the holiday rental, about a 1-minute walk away, you’ll find Germany’s smallest EDEKA store, “Pfefferkorn.” There, you can also buy fresh baked goods every day.
