Set in the heart of the Eifel Nationalpark near Monschau, this beautifully renovated 14-bedroom holiday home welcomes up to 30 guests, making it ideal for large families and groups of friends. The spacious layout includes a private garden, fenced courtyard, and terrace with garden furniture and a gas barbecue, perfect for outdoor gatherings. Starting June 2024, guests can enjoy a relaxing session in the new infrared sauna.

Located just 1 km from supermarkets, restaurants, and nightlife, and 5 km from a scenic lake and ski lift, the home offers both convenience and adventure. Indoors, a recreation room with games keeps everyone entertained, while free on-site parking and EV charging add practical comfort. Up to 5 pets are welcome (with a local fee), and the fenced courtyard ensures they have space to play.

Please note: fireworks and noisy parties are not allowed, and a concierge is nearby to assist. Public transport is close, and guests are asked to respect the departure time to avoid extra charges. Cutlery and dishes must be dried cleanly, as this is not part of the final cleaning.

Das Haus ist zu dem Zeitpunkt wo wir da waren sehr kalt. In den Schlafzimmern war in der ersten Nacht und am Morgen eine Temperatur von 12,9 Grad. Die Ausstattung war top. Bei Problemen kam der HAusmeister gleich und hat alles gemacht.

Super Unterkunft für große Gruppen

Wir haben die Unterkunft für die Freizeit der Jugendgruppe unserer Kirche gebucht. Das Haus bot ziemlich alles was man benötigt, aber nicht viel darüber hinaus. Die Räumlichkeiten waren sauber, jedoch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen - man hatte den Eindruck, dass sich nicht mehr sonderlich darum bemüht wurde, dass Haus in Schuss zu halten (Tapete kommt von der Decke, defekte Schlösser an den Türen, Türen schließen erst gar nicht). Uns hat noch ein Raum gefehlt, in dem wir uns gemeinsam offen versammeln konnten. Der in den Fotos gezeigte "Speiseraum" ist mittlerweile leider durch eine Trennwand in 2 Räume unterteilt. Ein weiterer Raum wäre zubuchbar gewesen. Wir empfehlen daher die Buchung direkt über die Website des Inhabers, damit dieser Raum mit zur Verfügung steht. Ansonsten waren alle Zimmer in Ordnung und sauber. Alle Räume waren frisch geputzt und wir konnten uns in der Hinsicht nicht beschweren. In der Umgebung gab es genug Unternehmungsmöglichkeiten (Naturpark, Sportplätze, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, ...). Alles in allem ist die Unterkunft trotz der kleinen Mängel zu empfehlen.

Wir waren mit 13 Personen für einen privaten IT-Kongress da. Jeder hatte sein eigenes IT-Equipment dabei, wie bspw. Computer, Beamer, Presenter etc. Das Ferienhaus bietet Platz für (mehr als) 30 Personen, so dass wir jeder unser eigenes Einzelschlafzimmer haben konnten. Der große Saal, der eigentlich ausschlaggebendes Kriterium bei unserer Entscheidung für dieses Ferienhaus war, stand zur Zeit unseres Aufenthalts leider nicht zur Verfügung. Das war ärgerlich, zumal uns das vorher nicht mitgeteilt wurde, aber wir hatten trotzdem den Platz, den wir brauchten, und waren allgemein rundum zufrieden. Das gesamte Gebäude ist eine Mischung aus uriger Kneipe und vielen modernisierten Elementen hier und da (Wände, Möbel, Küche, TV etc.). Die Kombination ist gut gelungen, so dass unser Aufenthalt sowohl gemütlich als auch funktional komfortabel ausfiel. Die Kommunikation war anfangs etwas schwierig, weil uns die Kontaktdaten des Vermieters erst ein paar Wochen vor Anreise bekannt gegeben wurden, wofür wir Verständnis haben, aber etwaige Fragen vorab mussten dann über Belvilla laufen, was alles andere als einfach war. Sowohl der Vermieter als auch der Hausmeister vor Ort sind nette und wohlwollende Personen; vor allem mit dem Hausmeister konnten wir uns richtig gut unterhalten, der uns auch viel über die Entwicklung des Gebäudes und der Umgebung erzählt hat. Die Umgebung ist landschaftlich hübsch anzusehen, was in unserem Fall aber keine wirkliche Rolle gespielt hat (wir haben uns hauptsächlich im Gebäude oder im dazugehörigen Hof aufgehalten). Draußen sollte man ab 22 Uhr möglichst nicht mehr allzu viel Lärm machen, aber im Inneren des Gebäudes kann man so laut sein, wie man will (dicke Steinwände, neue dreifachverglaste Fenster). Die Internetanbindung ist super (100M down, 5,3M up) und es sind überall WLAN-Access-Points im gesamten Gebäude verteilt. Die Pommesbude nebenan ist sackstark, vor allem die Schnitzel. Wir kommen bei Gelegenheit gerne noch mal wieder, vor allem wenn dann der große Saal auch wieder zur Verfügung steht. 5/5 Sterne!

Het was een gezellig en praktisch groepshuis. De indeling van de kamers die we gekregen hadden, klopte niet, waardoor het even chaotisch was en we niet het juiste beddengoed bij hadden. Ook lastig dat de startuitleg in het Duits was en de personen die er zo vroeg geraakten geen Duits konden. Engels zou toch handig zijn om alles op een juiste manier te kunnen doen qua afsluiting, elektriciteit en verwarming. De kamers en badkamers waren voldoende. De keuken was groot en goed uitgerust. Er was zeker genoeg eetruimte en ook de recreatie- en zitruimtes waren leuk om te vertoeven met genoeg entertainment. De streek is fantastisch mooi, niet ver van het gezellige stadje Monschau en het prachtige natuurpark, Eifel. We zijn gaan kanoën in de buurt en hebben een mooie wandeling gemaakt. Er zijn voldoende winkels in de buurt.

Het oude hotel is een fantastische plek om een weekend met veel vrienden door te brengen: er is een bar, eetzaal, pool/tafeltennisruimte en alles lekker lekker gemütlich ingericht. Na jaren in België te hebben gezeten, viel ons ook op dat Duitsers en stuk leuker publiek zijn dan Belgen. Ze hebben immers ook wat goed te maken, maar toch: leuke überasschung. De host is een aardige en betrouwbare vent waar niks over te klagen valt. Helpt wanneer het moet, stoort niet als je alleen wil zijn. Verder erg fijn: de buren horen je niet als je met 22 straalbezopen debielen in de bar het nummer Zwemmen in Bacardi Lemon staat mee te krijsen. Aanrader dus!

Der Hausbesitzer wirkt unfreundlich. zusätzlich wollte er uns die Kosten erhöhen, da wir mit mehr Personen gekommen, als zuerst geplant, obwohl man einen Pauschalpreis zahlt egal ob man mit einer oder 20 Personen anreist. Zusätzlich wollte er die Kurtaxe für Kinder kassieren. Das Haus war schlecht auf Ankömmlinge vorbereitet. Die erste Nacht sollten wir die Servicekosten zurück kassieren, da wir kein warmes Wasser hatten. Der Hausmeister war sehr freundlich und hat sich bemüht, die Fehler des Besitzers auszubügeln. Der Besitzer (angegebene Kontaktperson) war durchgängig nicht übers Telefon zu erreichen. Mit der Landschaft und den Gegebenheiten in der Umgebung waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden bei Möglichkeit evtl. wiederkommen. Das Haus ist allerdings etwas Uhrig und vlt zu teuer...

Het is een oud hotel die verhuurd wordt als groepsaccomodatie met ruimte voor 30 personen met alle voorzieningen die bij zo'n hotel horen. Binnen heb je alle ruimte om uitgebreid te koken, is er een muziekinstallatie, kun je poolen, tafelvoetballen en tafeltennissen en is er alle ruimte om te zitten, te eten en te drinken. Er zijn 3 grote koelkasten een 2 grote vriezers. Je kunt afwas snel afspoelen, en er zijn volop kook mogelijkheden met een grote oven, enorme pannen, en eigenlijk alles wat je nodig hebt. Wandelen in de buurt is geweldig. Oud SS kamp Vogelsang is op loopafstand met een geweldig uitzicht over 2 grote meren en heel veel bossen. Absolute aanrader.

Das Ferienhaus liegt an einer belebten Straßenkreuzung. Es war schönes wetter und es fuhren Kolonnen von Motorräder an diesem unserem Feriehaus vorbei. Wenn man privat sehr ruhig wohnt, war das hier ein Grauen. Für den Gesamteindruck maximal 1 Sterne.
