Our holiday apartment building underwent another renovation in the winter of 2026. Our family-run business—now in its second generation since 1956 (celebrating our 70th anniversary)—is nestled in the heart of the magnificent Berchtesgaden mountains. Quiet yet centrally located in the heart of Schönau am Königssee, it offers you the ideal setting for your most beautiful hikes and mountain tours through the impressive mountain landscape of Berchtesgaden National Park. With numerous sports and recreational activities—such as hiking, climbing, mountain biking, canyoning, golf, and swimming—you can experience nature up close. You’ll find peace and relaxation in our comfortable apartments, each with a balcony or terrace. Our holiday apartments are equipped with every comfort, are allergy-friendly, and feature hardwood floors. Start your day feeling relaxed—a bakery and shopping options are within walking distance. We’re happy to arrange mountain bike rentals, guided tours, as well as spa and massage treatments. Our house is also an ideal starting point for winter holidays. Right next to the house is a small alpine ski lift with snowmaking and floodlight systems, and across from the house is a groomed cross-country ski trail. Kilometres of cleared hiking trails invite you to take winter walks. A horse-drawn carriage ride is a special experience in winter. For skiers and snowboarders, our region offers a wide variety of activities. Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest areas, and there is ample parking directly at the house. We accept cash and EC cards on-site, or bank transfers before your arrival. For credit card and debit card payments linked to a credit card, we charge a 4% surcharge on the invoice total.
In the winters of 2022 and 2026 (new flooring), this modern holiday apartment with two terraces was redesigned and can accommodate 4 people. It is suitable for people with allergies and features hardwood floors. Our three-room apartment features a fully equipped kitchen-living room with a large refrigerator/freezer, microwave, oven, ceramic cooktop, coffee maker, kitchen utensils, dishwasher, and sink. A dining table with 4 chairs, a cosy pull-out couch with a table, and an electric fireplace (heated) ensure your comfort. The living room area features an LCD flat-screen DVBT TV, and a micro stereo system provides great entertainment. Two separate bedrooms, each with a double bed measuring 180 x 200 cm, bed linens, an LCD flat-screen TV, a pillow, and a cosy blanket. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower and toilet, towels, a hair dryer, a cosmetic mirror, a towel warmer, toiletries, and a shoehorn, as well as a sitting area with a table and chairs or a desk, a safe, and an information folder. Free Wi-Fi is, of course, available. The terraces are furnished with chairs, a table, lounge chairs, and a parasol. A vacuum cleaner is also provided in the apartment. You are also welcome to take advantage of our daily bread roll service for a fee. The apartment can only be booked on a weekly basis, with check-in on Sunday—shorter stays are available only upon request! Cots and high chairs can be added to your reservation. Please note that we do not allow pets in our building. We recommend that you purchase travel cancellation insurance! We will refund any deposits paid to date, minus a standard processing fee of 25.00 EUR.
The Almrausch bus stop is about a 2-minute walk away. Shopping facilities, numerous restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, and much more are within walking distance. Hiking trails and mountain tours start right from the property. Lake Königssee is about 2 km away, and Berchtesgaden is about 4 km away. An electric vehicle charging station is within walking distance, and much more.
