We had a disappointing experience with this rental after checkout. We acknowledged that our 5 year-old and 3 year-old twins caused some issues and repeatedly tried to work with the owner in good faith, asking for photos, receipts, and an itemized list of damages (including a rough cost per item) so we could make things right.At first the host was responsive and said "we will send photos and receipts for repair". However, after we asked to have a conversation with the owner to get on the same page, she became unresponsive. Robin then withheld our full 1,500 damage deposit without providing any photos or receipts as she promised. My wife and I then reached out to VRBO as we felt like we were taken advantage of. A few days later, damages were reduced to 1,000 (which we did end up paying). However, we still haven't received any photos or an itemized list with costs as we were promised.Separately, we also wish the listing had disclosed that the property requires driving nearly 3 miles on a very rough gravel road. We ended up with a flat tire on the way in, costing us about 500 to repair. Some locals that helped us get to the property told us this road is known for causing tire damage.Overall, the property is nice and has a lovely view. Just be very warry of the owner being very difficult to work with. In looking at the reviews, it seems we aren't the first person with this experience as another visitor had an issue with dirty towels and a broken deck chair.
