THE SPACES

The first floor apartment offers 4 beds: it is made up of a double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, living-dining room, kitchen, bathroom. Large balcony offering a spectacular view of the Dolomites. It has a small garage available for a small car. If it is not possible to park your car there, you can park in the public parking in front of the pharmacy or in the one 200 meters from the house.



THE POSITION

This precious base for exploring the beauties of the Valley is located in the center of Selva di Cadore but, remaining in a slightly raised position respect to the road, it offers tranquility as well as the convenience of services.

The walk through the historic villages of L'Andria and Toffol is a rare beauty: a real dive into the past, where you can admire the ancient mill, the typical barns and the limekilns ("calchere"). Not to be missed is the nearby Vittorino Cazzetta Civic Museum, consisting of 3 sections: Geological, Archaeological and Historical, many finds from the late Neolithic and Copper Age coming from the nearby archaeological sites (Mandriz) as well as the skeleton of the Man of Mondeval found in Mondeval de Sora are kept.

An alarm at dawn is recommended to discover the kingdom of chamois, marmots and eagles, in the mountain system of Piz del Corvo, Cernera and Monte Pelmo.

Just 3 km away is the Ladin village of Colle Santa Lucia, with its unmistakable profile with a church and Monte Pelmo, where the ancient mines of Fursil and the Ladin Institute "Cesa de Jan" offer interesting visits to discover the culture of these villages.

Finally, do not miss a stop at the nearby Passo Giau, one of the most popular alpine passes loved by hikers, mountaineers, cyclists and photographers.

Really enjoyed the apartment, exactly right for our walking trip. Fabulous views from the balcony where we sat out enjoying breakfast and evening meal. Seemed to be only people in the whole and neighbouring property. Church bells glorious resounding in the valley. Could have done with more general instructions in English, particularly for operating the washing machine. As there were only 2 of us for 6 nights it would have been nice if a couple of wash capsules had been provided and a reasonable size bottle of washing up liquid in the kitchenette.

Aprire la porta e sentirsi a casa. Questa la prima sensazione confermata durante il soggiorno. Infatti, abbiamo scelto questo appartamento per la seconda volta. Per essere pignoli sarebbe utile dotare l'appartamento di coltelli da tavola più taglienti oltre che di alcuni accessori da cucina mancanti (ramina, cucchiaione, pinza per spaghetti). Un divano letto ci starebbe bene
