Convenient location

The hotel was located in the very centre of Myeongdong which has its merits and negatives. Obviously it’s super convenient for shopping and food as well as the subway station and bus network (including the airport bus). However, the negative is that it’s a noisy area to stay in. If you get a room facing the back it’s fine - no noise at all. However rooms at the front do suffer from noise until about 11pm or so. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. Although there isn’t a front desk there are staff on duty downstairs who are always happy to help. I stayed in a double room and it was comfortable with everything I needed. The bathroom was a wet room style which I don’t like so much because the whole floor gets wet. The hotel does allow you to pick up fresh towels though so you can dry the floor and swap out towels after each shower. You get fresh towels and bin emptied every day and rooms are properly cleaned every 3 days. There is a common area on each floor with a coffee machine, microwave, fridge and seating. There’s a rooftop area although that was closed during my stay for building works. There are washing machines (small charge which includes detergent).

It was not n a nice location. George, the manager was very nice and accommodating. i was just surprised that they charged for room cleaning unless you put in the sign ‘do nit disturb.

The staff is very friendly and helpful! They speak good english too. The location is at center of Myeongdong so it’s very convenient for us who really loves to shop. It is also Accessible by public tranpso. The room is spacious and the complimentary coffee is sooooo good! Im really impressed.

Hotel Myeongdongjang is a 'standout' hotel, one of the best we've stayed at over many years of travel. About us: Family of four with kids aged 16 and 13, we stayed in a Deluxe Quadruple Room over 5 nights. For our South Korea holiday, we stayed at Hotel Myeongdongjang (Myeongdong), Solaria Hotel (Busan) and Mohenic Hotel (Myeongdong), Myeongdongjang was definitely our favourite overall. About the hotel: Room - great layout with plenty of room for 4. Kids loved the bunk beds. Room had all the standard amenities needed. Bathroom was well sized and clean! Hotel facilities: A communal area on each floor with towels, irons, kitchen and dinning facilities, toilets and paid laundry facilities was also very useful. Staff: all team members were very friendly and helpful, from checking to daily interactions and checkout. Location: perfectly located in a quiet alley within a 2min walk to Myeongdong Street and 5 mins from 2 train stations. Shopping, dining, excitement, all located a few steps away! I'd highly recommend Hotel Myeongdongjang, 5 stars in all facets: room and facilities, cleanliness, location and customer service. Will definitely stay at Hotel Myeongdong again without any hesitation.

The staff anticipated our arrival and helped us with our luggage. He explained the check in process and luggage storage which is safe for storing. The room is spacious for the family of 4 and looks updated. I would definitely stay here again. Accessible to the Main Street, few steps away from Hello Kitty Cafe and the night market. The price is reasonable and I slept well. The room is sound proof. It’s close to restaurants, Starbucks, 7/11, Korean market, train stations and shopping centers. Budget friendly and great hotel.

It's a family-friendly small hotel. It's only a few steps away from the market and shopping areas so you can shop, go back to your hotel and then shop some more. Since it is steps away from the market, it is pretty crowded but the street where the hotel is located was not, easy access by foot but not by car (only a couple of blocks away from the main street for uber/taxi, etc. though). Laundry onsite, espresso machine, lounge area on every floor. What made the stay great was the staff. We arrived around 8am and check-in is at 3pm. The General Manager was very accommodating and understanding, excellent customer service. I don't believe they actually had a luggage service but he allowed us to leave our luggage while we explore the neighborhood and ensured us early check-in which was greatly appreciated. He spoke very well-excellent English (like he was from the US?) which really made the interaction very comforting. Not many in the city spoke English, it was the only place we felt we were not foreigners (as a tourist, you can feel uncomfortable and shy because you cannot speak the language nor understand). Overall, we highly recommend the hotel. We would stay there again if we go back to Seoul, South Korea.

Found this hotel by chance. Super place, well positioned for crazy busy area with atmosphere. Self check-in fast and easy. Couple of people working near check-in area to help. Super friendly and helpful Would highly recommend. Only thing to suggest, some slightly softer pillows

Just finished a 5 night stay and I can say this hotel is bang for your buck. Not only is it in the center of Myeongdong but its also between two pretty important subway lines to get places (5-10 min walking distance each direction). Place was easy to find and check in was a breeze. Initially tried to store our luggages because our flight landed super early but our room happened to be ready so they just let us move right in~super awesome. Theres no front desk but someone is always downstairs to assist with issues. On each floor theres a community dining area and water, coffee machines, scales etc. On the 3rd floor theres a laundromat and a vending machine for one time use necessities. Someone comes to empty trash and replace towels daily so that was nice. Room was spacious enough for luggages to open up on the floor. Has a mini fridge, filtered water machine, safe, etc. Overall a very good place to stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

This hotel is one of the best that we have stayed at. Not only because of how conveniently close it is to the shopping and dining area in Myeongdong, or how new the hotel is, but because of how friendly, helpful, and reliable the staff is, especially the manager, George. We had a very early arrival in Seoul and had nowhere else to go so we arrived there at 9 am and were allowed to check in early! On our last day, we had an issue with our train tickets so George helped us book tickets while the other staff was on the phone with KTX trying to figure out what went wrong with our schedule. We would have stayed longer if we could! But we would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again!
