Our "Jardim de janeiro" house is located in a pine forest in the heart of the Serra de Arrabida, 6 kilometres from the seaside town of Sesimbra and 5 kilometres from Azeitao. 7 bedrooms each with its private bathroom, 2 levels for 250 m2, swimming pool 8m.x4 overlooking a fully private 1800 m2 garden with trees. Several outbuildings, pool house, 2 churrasqueria (bbq) bread oven/pizza, 2 fully equipped kitchens.

A place of paradise!

Took my family here and had a wonderful and relaxing time. You never really know what you're going to end up with but this place was more than perfect, large bedrooms and rooms around the house, massive garden with the great swimming pool! Maxine the host was amazing and really welcoming. I've stayed in a fair few holiday homes but have never written a review before as they are generally what you would expect, but this one was above expectations so can't help but recommend....couldn't have wished for more.

Hemos estado 15 personas durante una semana y hemos acabado encantados con el alojamiento y con la zona. Máxime es encantador y nos ha dado muchas facilidades para todo. La casa está equipada con todo lo necesario y es muy amplia. Nos facilitó recomendaciones de restaurantes y de cosas a hacer por la zona y todas fueron muy acertadas. Un alojamiento muy recomendable que si volvemos por la zona, repetiremos.

Nice and cosy stay with friends

The house was spacious with a well equiped kitchen and a nice garden and pool (saltwater). Beds were good. Private bathrooms. Arrabida national park, nice towns like Sesimbra and Setubal as far as Lisbon (40 minutes) are nearby (15-20 minutes by car). Luc and Maxime are very prudent, friendly and cordial hosts and gave us lots of good tips for excursions, restaurants and special things to do in the surrounding area. We have been 14 persons in the house and there was capacity for more people. The house itself is a little, little outdated but cosy. It´s necessary to have a car. We had a really good time there!

Beautiful and well equipped house

It was a beautiful stay in a large house, which would fit for even more persons. House, especially the kitchen, is very well equipped. You can always choose between sun and shade. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of advices for our stay, lots of different beaches, towns and places of interest are in a 20 minutes drive by car.

Family vacations

We have been at Maxime & Luc house for fouteen days. They have been very welcoming always giving us advice in all our needs. The house is perfect for big families. It is like you see in the pictures and really comfortable. They leave us bears, wine, and also a nice salad and coffee and tee. Thank you very much for being like friends with us!!! We will come back by sure!!

Perfekter Aufenthalt

Bei unserer Anreise wurden wir bereits herzlichst und persönlich durch unsere Gastgeber begrüßt. Durch die multiliguale Kommunikation (Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch, Portugisisch) gab es keinerlei Verständigungsprobleme. Wir erhielten viele wertvolle Tipps für Ausflüge und gastronomische Etablissements. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll und komplett eingerichtet - es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Die Villa hat einen komplett eingerichteten Haushalt, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Vor allem die Outdoor-Küche mit Grill und der Gaskochstelle ergänzt die große und überdachte Terrasse. Der Garten- und Außenbereich ist wundervoll gestaltet und verzaubert durch die vielfältige Blütenpracht. Im hinteren Teil des Gartens befindet sich der beheizte und Abends angenehm beleuchtete Pool. Das Gelände ist komplett eingezäunt und schützt vor neugierigen Blicken. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt von 14 Tagen sehr genossen und das Anwesen bietet so viel Platz und Rückzugsorte, dass wir mit 6 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern immer genügend Freiraum hatten. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge an die Strände, die vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten oder einen Besuch der schönen Hauptstatdt Lissabon bestens geeignet. Natürlich haben wir auch den einen oder anderen Tag am Pool verbracht und diese Oase genossen. Wir können die Gastgeber und die Unterkunft vorbehaltlos weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für unseren unvergesslichen Urlaub in Portugal.
