Our family really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cabin and surrounding area. The drive from town to the cabin took a few times to get accustomed to, but we just took it slow. Great place to stay.

I loved staying at this cabin! It was spacious yet very cozy. It was great for my family of 5 (3 generations). We enjoyed hiking the trail outside of the property and gathering by the indoor fireplace. And there were many many outdoor spaces where we could enjoy the beautiful views! The pool and hot tub were great as well, and I really liked how the cabin was decorated- such lovely pictures and wooden furnishings! You can tell a lot of care was put into making Trailside a truly a special place! Would have loved to stay longer!

Beautiful views, beautiful home, amazing access to hiking trails! My kids loved the pool & hot tub. Rental company was very responsive when the pool door wasn’t working and sent someone out that night!Be warned- in order to get to the beautiful view, the driveway is extremely steep! Kitchen could have been a bit better stocked, but had most of what we needed.

Perfect stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trailside. The location, views and amenities can’t be beat. Having access to the Roundtop trial right by the cabin was an extra treat for us. We used the outdoor fireplace and hot tub every night. Amazing response and communication from owners when we had a few small hiccups.

Awesome place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! My kids, 8 and 12 absolutely loved the indoor pool and pool table. The cabin was very private and secluded and perfect! We also enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and being able to access the trail within the park was the icing on the cake. We did experience a problem while there, but the owners were fast with response and friendly to deal with. We will definitely be staying here in the future!

Family Fun

Beautiful view from back porch. House was within 20 minutes of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, & plenty other local attractions. Plenty of amenities at the house itself. Well equipped kitchen and an abundance of supplies. Had a great trip wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Great cabin close to park

Great location, close to the park, the hiking trail right out the front door was great for morning hikes, we did not see a lot of other hikers in the area. Lots of outside areas to sit and relax. Great views of wears valley. pool and hot tub areas are very clean and well maintained, fun areas for the family. House is clean, kitchen is stocked with all the basics. Bears do come near the cabin. Road and driveway are a little steep. Owner was easily reachable and responsive to our questions. We plan on staying at trailside again.

Great Mountain Stay

We had a great 3 day stay here and wished we'd booked longer. Beautiful, peaceful and quiet. You take some switchbacks into the mountain to get to the house. Very spacious, pictures are as advertised. The only downfall which wasn't a dealbreaker is the pool room smelled very musty - you can tell where water stays stagnant. We were lucky with weather and we could open it up to avoid the smell. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

Nice private cabin

Very nice cabin, with nice ammenities. Would suggest the thought of an arcade game for younger entertainment. Hosts were extremely helpful in check in process due to VRBO miscommunication. Location was very private and secluded. Would suggest a little better monitoring with the cleaning group, as the interior and exterior definitely had some not so clean areas throughout the cabin and property.

There were five of us and we had a great time. The view from the cabin was great and the screened-in porch furniture was comfortable. We did have championship pool games - 2 hours to play 4 games, yep we're experts. The swimming pool was a little cool, but we dipped in the hottub and then the pool. In our 4 days there, we had 9 bears roaming around the cabin. This morning we had the bear thief - We were packing the cars and my husband and I were finished packing and closed the back hatch. The other couple were still in the process of packing when a bear comes down the driveway and we all went to the cabin. Unfortunately, the hatch on that car did not get closed. The bear wandered onto the porch and looked around and then spotted the car. He went over to the open hatch and at this point our friend was out the door yelling at the bear. The bear selected a very nice backpack and took off with our friend in hot pursuit. The bear made away with 2 passports, an Itablet, cash, a hearing aid charger, several charging cords, a raincoat and small blanket. He could not be convinced to drop his treasure. Even with this misadventure, we had a great time.

Secluded with amazing views

Everything area was clean. The kitchen fully stocked. The views were amazing! We loved the indoor pool. Very clean and had a big screen tv in pool area with bluetooth capability. Outdoor fireplace was wonderful. There is a trail you can walk beside the cabin. There was so much to entertain us that we only left out 1 day to go horseback riding. We have a disabled son and this worked great. We had an initial problem getting our doorcode to work but called the manager after getting a signal and she immediately fixed the issue! You will need an awd to get up steep road. We will book again!!

Pool, hot tub, fire pit, pool table were all amazing we really enjoying them. Over all pretty clean. The host was very responsive and nice. I do have a few things I’d like to note. No curtains in the bedrooms. We were woke up at 8am every day when we are all a night shift family so that made for very rough days on top of the horrible mattresses. These beds need a topper or something. The up stairs main bed room bed is hard as the floor(the couches are also hard I just wasn’t very comfortable anywhere which made me sad). Mold on the shower curtain in the master bath and the shower head is so bad it feels like daggers. Just some things that I definitely feel like needs upgrading. I ended up sick with a cold the day before we were supposed to leave and decided to check out early because I couldn’t sleep on these beds anymore on top of being sick. I’d absolutely love to make this our yearly cabin if the bed and curtain situation was better.

So much more than you think!

When you arrive you see the massive outdoor fireplace where we spent so much time. What’s not listed is the massive and beautiful waterfall beside the outdoor fireplace. This was an awesome surprise and feature we didn’t realize we were getting. The cabin is very cozy and equipped with everything needed to ensure an amazing stay. The views from the deck, look out deck, and atop the waterfall were all amazing. The cabin is secluded and off to itself making for a great private getaway. We had bears visit each day we were there which added to the excitement as well. The pool was also an amazing amenity and was used each day as well! Quick and easy access to and from town, but yet far enough out to enjoy quiet nature and relax made this trip so refreshing and worthwhile! This place is definitely a hidden gem and we will be booking again very soon
