The property had many attractive features. However, some points were substandard and the service was unresponsive. In particular, on the first morning, having bought coffee for the Italian coffee maker/mokka pot, we discovered that it the pot would not work on the apartment’s induction hob. This is a frequent issue with such pots unless you buy the right kind because only some metals will work on induction hobs. Despite contacting the agents immediately, we never received a replacement and had no way of making coffee during our five day stay. Even worse, the response was patronising and insulting: for example, the suggested that we switch on the induction hob.The weather was cold and wet and after two days trying to heat the main room, we asked for an additional heater which was never supplied. Even worse, there was simply no response during our stay.We arrived back at the building late one evening to find a broken key stuck in the lock. We contacted the agent who undertook to contact the building owner/operator. He communicated again with us to indicate the operator was on the case. Luckily, another resident arrived and was able to contact someone in the building to open it from inside. We expected further communication to confirm the lock has been repaired. However, next morning we had to go down to check whether it would be possible for us both to leave the building without the risk of being stuck outside. Not a hardship but we would have been told the lock was mended.
