🌲 Absolutely Incredible Alaskan Escape at Spruce Lodge! 🌲 If you're heading to Seward and want a place that feels like a hidden gem tucked into the Alaskan wilderness—with the comfort of home and the charm of a boutique lodge—Spruce Lodge is it! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The lodge is immaculately maintained, with cozy, rustic-modern décor that perfectly matches the surrounding forest and mountain views. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms, and waking up to the peaceful sounds of nature with morning light filtering through the spruce trees was nothing short of magical. The location is ideal—just minutes from downtown Seward, the harbor, and Exit Glacier, but far enough away to feel private and serene. Whether you’re headed out for a wildlife cruise, glacier hike, or just exploring Resurrection Bay, Spruce Lodge is the perfect home base. 💤 Highlights: Super comfortable beds and high-quality linens Spotless bathrooms and great water pressure (a must after a long hike!) Pretty nice motel near Seward

Looked like a very new place. Clean. Has full kitchen, table to eat at, couch to sit on, bench outside. Quiet area away from town. Overall well equipped, but missing some key items would expect in full kitchen (oven mitts, colander, toaster). Bed was soft and sunk in the middle. Would have given 5 stars if bed was better. Gorgeous view from window and bench outside. Cute wedding venue, grill, fire pit area and coffee shop on site. Self check in/out was smooth.

Nice place. Not a terrific deal for the price. Newer property. Lots of construction going on. With the property. Boasts a well stocked kitchen but missing some basic necessities than any cook would need. Quick 7 minute drive to downtown Seeard.

The rooms were superb. Very nice place. Recommendation: have people remove their shoes in their rooms. It would help keep the floors nicer longer and it would be quieter for those in the floors below. We will definitely stay with you all again.

The room had a lot of useful amenities, full fridge and microwave. Room was clean, super easy to check in and the staff was friendly. Only complaint would be that being on the first floor, you could hear every step that was taken in the upstairs room.

Beautiful location and newly built

The property was clean, and the location was great. We enjoyed the view and sitting in the fresh air, chatting with friends. Our complaint is that there is no service. No one mans the desk, and the housekeepers who were on site did not speak English. I had requested several things for the room, and was told by housekeeping, "ok", but none of it was delivered. I also let them know the two chairs in the room were dangerously wobbly, but nothing was done about it. If you have no needs, the accommodation is fine, but it's not a hotel, it's a self-check lodge.

Fantastic location. Close to Exit Glacier, close to Seward. This is a ‘contactless’ check-in. We never met with staff etc. It was more of an Airbnb experience and was just lovely.

Room is very clean with full kitchen. There was no coffee, but the office was still open and supplied the coffee. Later, we discovered there was no remote control for the TV but the staff delivered that. It is a fairly new property without a lot of frills. Clean modern and spartan. Only one bedside table, no tissues.

The property was very clean and nice! Getting access through the self-check-in process was easy. What I didn't like was that we only had cold water for the shower and we were not able to get TV. I suspect that it was because it was all new.
