Lay with dogs you will get flees.

If you can sleep in flith book this hotel. A big let down to the Ibis chain. Dirty from carpet in the hall way to the questionable marks on the bed. AC did not work. So cold. Well to be honest, didn't stay booked another hotel. Disgusting.

Minimalist budget hotel. Clean and cozy

Nice comfortable budget hotel with minimal amenities. No toiletries provided. Most people stayed here to be closed enough to the Shanghai Expo Center. Otherwise, there are nothing much to do around the area

This ibis is like other ibis. Compact n clean when we check in. But, ths staff cant speak english almost nothing at all, even they try to. But they friendly even we cant communicate well. 😁. But for me, this hotel is expensive, or maybe just because its in shanghai. 😅

Affordable but don't expect too much

The hotel is pretty good for its price. Room is quiet, surrounding is pretty quiet. However, if you are on vacation, there really is nothing much to do within walking distance. Take a taxi to Shi Bo Yuan shopping mall for movie theatre and KTV. There's a KTV right behind the hotel but it's not family friendly type. Hotel staff are quite friendly. Bed is a little hard and my back ache a little the next day

Worse than expected

Unfortunately, the staff were not proficient in English, the shower was covered in mold and I didn't want to touch anything and there were flying insects in the room. The sheets were clean but the bathroom and the insects made me feel like I didn't want to touch anything in the room.

Nice, conveniently located hotel

Nice staff who were able to speak enough English to communicate with. Located within 5 minutes of a metro station which is very convenient. Rooms were in decent condition and clean, except some of the bedsheets needed a bit more washing. They also had a buffet breakfast which wasn't the best but at a good price which is great. Overall staying at ibis was a good experience. But not for a long stay.

Can not use the phone to call out of city and hotel's front was full of waste papers, not clean. The room is small, but is clean, at least looks clean.

Motel six of China

My stay in Shanghai was only two days, and my budget was tight so I chose this hotel based on the price and access to the subway system. On both counts it came through. The Ibis chain is the Motel Six of China. This is a basic, no frills hotel. However, it was all that I needed. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the internet worked well.It was also within 100 meters of the Dongming Rd. stop on subway subway line six. The only catch was that the hotel's, pinned map location on Hotels.com is wrong! It is shown as being, North and east of the Dongming Rd., Chengshan Rd. interchange/subway station, when actually, it is directly east of the station, from the south exit.

The worst hotel i ever stayed

1) Its said that teh hotel has free WiFi in room. When i found theer is no Wifi and i asked, the staff at the reception completely ignored my request and remain arrogant. 2) Dirty room, dripping water form AC, bed smell from eth sheets.

Spoiling Ibis brand name

We booked this hotel on our experience with Ibis chain in Europe, but this hotel nothing like those hotels, first outside hotel name is written in Chinese it should also be written in English which make it difficult to find , In there website they mention free internet in room where as it is not true it is only available in lobby which by the way was very smelly, and internet speed was very poor, staff spoke very poor English, Breakfast was same Chinese food everyday no continental food, if complained about anything staff would simply pretend not understand English. Only plus point is it is near metro and 10 min walk to KFC. We asked for local famous tourist places their answer was we don't know. NOT RECOMMENDED WITH FAMILY. Everyday someone throws phone no. of female companions at your door.

Hotels.com has the wrong address!

The map is completely wrong on the book reservation. I was charged 3x on the cab from the airport becauase the driver had no clue how to get there. We had to call the hotel and verify the address.
