While the hotel is well located and you can walk everywhere easily, the rooms are a bit dated. Our biggest frustration was the fact that inside the room are air conditioning temperature controllers that might appear to lower or raise your room temperature, where in fact they do nothing at all and your room temperature is governed by the hotel Central air conditioning system which in our case was set at 24 degrees C, making the room feel stuffy. We raised our issue many times with nothing done (except for a note left saying something like, “our engineer checked your room air conditioning and it works ok with room temperature set at 24 degrees.” We won’t stay here again.

Excellent location, excellent view of the bund. Pool was a great way to relax before and then after the flight. Breakfast was amazing!

Good hotel, central location,

Location: Good central location. Close to Bund and shops. Taxis very cheap if you need to travel far.

Small basic room but comfortable, good buffet breakfast. Room and facilities average for an international hotel but suited our needs.

Beautiful hotel close to the Bund.

Pros: Lovely rooms, plenty of space and a very well equipped gym.

Cons: We wanted to get a drink at lunchtime and were told we could not as the restaurant area was booked out by a conference.

Location: Close by to a lot of tourist attractions.

Had a great week long stay in the Westin. It was a lovely haven of peace and relaxation away from the busyness of Shanghai.

Close to the Bund, wonderful service

Pros: Everything. Every where you wanted to go they gave you the directions in Chinese to give the taxi drivers

Location: Close to the Bund and just a short taxi ride to most of the main attractions in the area.m4 blocks from a main tourist shopping area

Given an upgrade to a suite, wonderful experience, hotel staff. Could not be more helpful, all spoke English very well. Just thought room service food was a tad expensive even though it was delivered on a lovely trolley with white line table cloth etc.

Close to Bund

Pros: All staff were excellent. The evening wait person Vitas & the manager Dylan are exemplary staff members. The location is close to everything.

Cons: Continue with your excellent service & amenities.

Location: The hotel is within a short walk to the Bund & close to Nanjing Road which is a major shopping avenue.

We had a great experience at the Westin Bund Center in Shanghai. We stayed for 9 nights and the staff were professional and extremely helpful. This includes all staff from the wait people in the restaurants to the door man who assisted us with our taxi. I can recommend highly the restaurants & buffet at the Westin with weekend evenings having entertainment such as a singer & a band. The Sunday brunch is not to be missed. Book early so you can get a table. The food, singers, orchestra, jugglers & the man who makes beautiful shaped balloons for the children are all magical.
