Pros: Comfortable large bed and fabulous bathroom with extra deep bath.
Cons: 50 RMB for a cup of tea.
Location: Perfect, Close to best shopping.
Facilities: Top of the line, Very Spacious; Value: Great deal; Service: Excellent English skills; Cleanliness: Spotless; Quiet area near both exclusive and cheap and cheerful eateries.

Pros: Upgraded to the balcony room. Very nice and comfortable room. Hotel very close to people square metro train. Thus very convenient to travel around.
Cons: Garden terrace room is disappointing because there isn't a single plant at terrace. It looks like an neglected area.
Location: Wonderful, Near metro train.
Facilities: Basic; Value: Affordable; Service: Friendly, Compliments to Ray; Cleanliness: Lovely; Impressived by one of the concierge staff, Ray, who went all the way to help us in making amends to our train tickets that was booked via online.

Pros: The decor - great art-deco revival. And the bath - very deep, with a TV at the end.
Cons: Very steep deposit: RMB 500 per room per night, which can add up to a lot for a long stay. Not stated when booking.
Location: Very central
Facilities: Modest; Value: Bargain; Service: Friendly; Cleanliness: Spotless; Excellent food court across the road. Right above People's Square Metro.
