We booked this hotel because of the Movenpick brand and expect a certain standard from this international brand. Indeed a charming hotel with great sea view. But biggest issue is the service level, it’s patronising & disappointing.
Pros:
- Beautiful sea view, 4 private beaches, beach bars & 1 big pool.
- Beautiful facade with lots of steps. There are 2 elevators.
- Beautiful sunset view.
- Very instagrammable hotel with many pretty corners.
- Room is spacious. Bed comfortable. New renovated bathroom, bright & clean.
- All inclusive package - free flow beer, spirits, soft drinks and snack. Also includes all 3 meals at buffet restaurant.
- Hotel’s side gate leads to shopping area of Naama Bay. Quite a long walk thou.
Cons:
- Constant hassling from vendors on beach and pool asking if we want to do the beach activities, photo taking, etc. Within 3 hours after checkin, been asked 5 times.
- Only 1 buffet restaurant for all-inclusive. Food changes every meal & day so still acceptable. Crows flying all around the alfresco area.
- Room smelled a bit woody or mouldy.
- Shower head water flow is inconsistent, especially when hot water is turned on.
- Cobweb inside wardrobe.
- Some brown and black dirt marks by the side of the toilet bowl. We highlighted to the reception 5 times. And asked to change the room due to the shower head issue. Each time we were asked to come back later, or tomorrow morning, but we never get an answer or solution. This feels extremely patronising.
