What a great place! Room was decorated beautifully, slept like a log on that wonderful mattress, so clean!!! Great breakfast & super warm & welcoming staff. Would love to come back & stay for a few days!

Safe your money, don’t stay here!

Our room was not very clean, dead bugs on the floor and squished bugs different places in the room. The toilet was not flushing well and over flowed. We had to clean most of it up, they never cleaned the shower that we had put the nasty towels from us soaking up the water. Manager was very rude and had an attitude the every time he was seen. Breakfast is only until 9:00, and he took stuff away right at 9:00 even if someone had just got in there to eat. Not enough food was offered since the guest in campers were offered breakfast too, not just the motel guest.

Parking is right next to your room. Shortest / lowest toilet I have ever seen. Room was smaller than it appeared online. Microwave was old and didn't function properly. When asked where is a good place to eat they suggested Eat of Chicago pizza....

Well, first of all if you were going here thinking you were getting an Amish run property that would be a no. On the positive side I did get an early check-in. Definitely a language barrier was having trouble with my card and decided to just pick up a phone while we were having issues to make a personal phone call and continued to talk on the phone through my transaction and just waved me out on the general area where my room would be Obviously for the area you would expect a little bit better customer service Room leaves a lot to be desired. That is basically a motel six all day long only with higher prices. Breakfast is included, but it is not an Amish breakfast again like you would assume. It is a nice area next to the RV park and close to the flea market. Go ahead and spend the money and stay at blue gate or one of the other beautiful properties close by. It is definitely worth the extra expense.

Good Value for the Money

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Good free hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, DIY waffles, coffee, etc.). Excellent location, on the main road in Shipshewana, less than a mile from the Shipshewana Flea Market. Lower price than most Shipshewana hotels but no extra amenities (no pool, hot tub, weight room, or business/computer room). They do have free Wi-Fi. Service was OK but the hotel managers were rather grumpy. [The breakfast bar was not being maintained until I finally found the desk manager and got him to fix it, which he did.]

I enjoyed everything about this motel in Shipshewana, Indiana. Parking right at the door, bathroom sink outside of shower and stool. Breakfast was great: sausage, eggs, cereal, biscuits and gravy, yogurt. Waffles, toast, muffins, bagels. Evelyn was a wonderful host and took care of our needs.
