Pricy but clean

Our room was clean, the beds were very uncomfortable and we didn't rest well. Way too firm. There was a flashing light in the ceiling that caused us to not rest well. The handicap parking spots are located next to a sidewalk that has no accessibility, the only place without a step up is on the other side of the parking lot. Breakfast was very good and all the employees we had contact with were very nice. It was a bit pricy for the issues.

I arrived and found that my stay had been cancelled by hotels.com! I advised them I had not cancelled but had made an inquiry about doing so since I had the trip insurance for this stay but was advised the stay was not eligible, so I therefore advised to disregard through the virtual system! Luckily the manager had saved the room realizing it had been paid in full and thought this was odd !!!!!!!!!! I believe the trip insurance is fraudulent and therefore in violation of our state laws and a review by the AG is warranted! The manager should be commended and the hotel is a gem for this area! I have already booked my next stay at the property while there thus resulting in a huge savings versus Hotels,com/Expedia! Let this be a lesson not only to me but anyone using the afforementioned site! Thanks again to the hotel and staff for a great stay as I will not be using hotels.com in the future!
