Lou's barn

This holiday rental in the Ariège Pyrenees could almost have been called “the lockdown cabin”—that’s where it all began. After a few months of renovation, “Lou’s Barn” was born, named in honour of Louise, my grandmother. Nestled in the Vicdessos Valley, this place steeped in history was once a barn, with its hay rack still visible on the wall and a hayloft upstairs for fodder. The decor has changed quite a bit… but the spirit of the place remains.A charming holiday rental, blending mountain charm with modernityRecently renovated, this holiday rental for 4 people combines modern comfort with charming decor, blending mountain charm with industrial touches. It’s perfect for a young, adventurous couple seeking peace and nature. An ideal rental for exploring the Ariège Pyrenees. If you love authenticity, hiking, and unspoiled nature, you’ll be delighted. The GR10, the legendary long-distance hiking trail connecting Banyuls to Hendaye, passes right by the cottage. Numerous hikes start directly from the house, allowing you to explore the Vicdessos Valley and its mountain landscapes.
