Am I Expected to Spend the Night with Roaches?

We chose to stay at this hotel because the proximity to a concert venue. We checked in before the concert, went in and put our bags down. I changed into my boots and we left. When we returned, we saw a German cockroach on the kitchenette counter as soon as we walked in. Then we saw a roach in the bathroom. I walked between the two beds and saw two more roaches. Looked around and kept finding baby roaches. We decided that we would leave because we do not want to bring roaches back to our house and I would not be able to sleep knowing roaches are all around me. I then picked up my shoes from earlier, when I picked it up, there was a roach on the bottom of it. I threw it down and two more roaches crawled out. I tried to call the front desk and no one answered. I called several times. I also called Hotels.com and they would not refund me. I have also tried to call the hotel this morning and no one will answer the phone.

Pot smelling on all floors, Nasty bath tub, bugs on the floor, Took 1/2 to check in bc there was no one around. So no help. Checked in, went to room, saw it, left it and the night man, Darail, put me down as a no show when he said he would take care of cancelling my reservation for 4 nights which he didn't do.

Unfortunately would not recommend.

Although this was a budget friendly option, I would not return to this place. The front office attendant took a while dealing with a police issue, which I understand, but we waited for 20 minutes to check-in. The room seemed decently clean, but when we returned for the evening there were cockroaches all throughout the room. There were 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids which was none at booking), but not enough towels. Though, I wouldn't have given my kids a bath there anyways. The beds were very basic and not comfortable. Checkout was easy. It was close to many stores and restaurants. My family was only there for a night.

This property is a budget-friendly, 2-star extended stay facility. From the outside, it gives a modest first impression, though not much better than what’s found inside. While there appears to be some effort to maintain basic cleanliness and order, this wouldn’t be considered a destination stay—more of a last resort option for those needing short-term lodging at a low price point. That said, the front desk staff were polite and courteous. The room itself was marginal—functional, but not particularly comfortable. There were a few concerns worth noting: a room labeled non-smoking had a lingering smoky odor, there was a consistent smell reminiscent of cannabis in the hallway or surrounding areas, and we did encounter a bug or two during our stay. Overall, if you’re on a tight budget and need a temporary place to stay, it’s serviceable—but manage expectations accordingly.
