The description on the website and the photos are false and misleading. This ‘ motel ‘ is a backpacker standard not a boutique Bali style villa. The place is noisy. You can hear bathroom sounds of the neighbours as the bathrooms are open to the outside. I had a neighbour who took a long shower at 1.00 am and enjoyed blowing his nose endlessly. The place is for young travellers.

Staff was very good, room was nice and clean outdoors was pleasant to sit and put my feet up Breakfast was not so good as it's not at the inn and at some distance from Loyds

unauthorised charges made by hotel

The hotel was fine although the room was very small! however my complaint is that when I returned home and checked my travel card statement I found the hotel had made 2 extra transactions on my card. firstly they had made an extra charge (over and above my room account which was fine) of AUD $33. I queried it with them via email and they denied completely that they had made the transaction- despite my bank confirming to me it was definitely Lloyds Inn who had made the transaction. Also I noticed that on my check-in date they had put a strange debit through which had defaulted to the Euro funds held on my travel card. then they must have realised their mistake and put a credit through in Australian $- result was I lost in the exchange rate overall 12 Euros -- for what ???? It is the exra charge of $33 Aud that I have disputed with them and they keep denying, so its me that's out of pocket. I will not be returning and will be telling all my friends also

Hidden gem in the heart of the City

Pros: Its location, its proximity to restaurants and Orchard Rd, the pool, the serenity.
Cons: There were a number of drainage pipes that emptied straight onto concrete paths noisily, which made it hard to get to sleep some nights.
Location: Stupidly close to both Orchard Rd and Clarke Quay. Lots of eateries and supermarkets close by, and Somerset MRT is 5 minutes walk away.
Staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much for them. Rooms are neat and functional and the hotel's location is very quiet. They explained how the breakfast vouchers worked and where most things were in relation to the hotel.

Close to city centre

Pros: The staff
Cons: Breakfast arrangements for a start.
Location: Heaps to do as it is right in the city centre
Staff extremely helpful. Room very ordinary. Breakfast arrangements awful.
