Beware The Detail

Be aware the detail - a poor experience at check-in didn’t help. Booked an 8 night stay with my wife at this hotel expecting a certain level of luxury and as part of a bigger trip. I’d booked and paid for a ‘Deluxe - 1 King Bed’ offered through Hotels.com. On arrival we were told that due to the use of a ‘third party provider’ my booking was a request only and that the only rooms available in this large hotel were the Shared Twin. To guarantee a room type I needed to book directly with the hotel. As a solution we were advised we could have the twin beds pushed together. I had received correspondence suggesting the twin, to which I reinforced my booking of the 1 King option. A second staff member became involved and a King Bed room was found, contrary to what I had earlier been told. As a sweetener we were offered a free breakfast the following morning. Unfortunately it wasn’t till we arrived to breakfast that we discovered the complimentary breakfast was just for one person and we would be expected the pay the full breakfast cost for one person. Pan Pacific Singapore was the highest per night cost of our trip and this was not reflected in our experience. Breakfast was over priced, as acknowledged by front desk staff, house keeping was inconsistent, though there was generally always some floating around. The pool and gym space were lovely and well used. Overall the hotel was okay, probably more targeted towards the corporate market.

Impressive lobby on entering. Seeing pilots check-in is always a good sign. The room was nice. It smelled a bit to old carpet, but as I understand that is in the process of being replaced. Staff was nice and well trained. Pool was great, facilities were on point. Great location and view. Will definitely recommend this place

I had a fantastic, luxurious stay at Pan Pacific Hotel. The room was spacious with a spectacular view. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the breakfast buffet was amazing—though a bit pricey. The location is also perfect—just a short walk to Gardens by the Bay and Suntec Shopping Centre. Highly recommended!

Rooms were comfortable and roomy. Staff were very professional and friendly. Edge restaurant was awesome. Food fresh and wide variety.
