A beautiful building. Room was lovely, quiet, with good quality bedding and amenities. The courtyard rooms face inwards - I missed natural light. The restaurant staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and the view over the river was lovely. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to most sites and a short walk to the MRT.

This is a lovely hotel in a terrific location. Our room was large, comfortable and quiet. You can easily walk to lots of places and there is an mrt stop nearby. The hotel has a very interesting history. Our only complaint is that check in took a very long time; hopefully this was just because of the time of day (4pm).

The property itself is very interesting , playing a unique role as Singapore's first Post Office. It is a low rise gem sitting right on the river and the hop on bus route. The food in the Straits Club was excellent and Sahul and his team were most welcoming and helpful. We had a grat stay.
