Great location, bit of a noisy sleep!

The hotel is in a great location - it was easy to get everywhere! The room was clean and comfortable. However the room we stayed in must have been on the end of the building as we were kept up at night by loud bass from a neighbouring bar from 11pm until 4am one night and 5:30am another. However, as it was a short stay we managed with ear plugs!

Great place to stay to be close to the action of the Quay area and if up to it extremely walkable to all the attractions nearby. Definitely a hike in the heat, but if walking isn’t for you then close to an MRT station to make every thing even more accessible!

This property is located centrally in Singapore. Not far from many places, however the bus lane is located directly in front of the hotel thereby taxis and Grab drivers have to pick you up or drop you off across the street. Be careful in the shower/ bathroom. The floors are tiled and the shower shoots directly onto the bathroom floor making it very slippery. There aren't any dressers or counter space in the bathroom to place your toiletries. Aside from that the stay was rather nice and quiet. There are no restaurants on site but plenty nearby.

We were provided one towel each. They were clean, but grey and threadbare. Upon request, they provided also hand towels, but no more bath towels. The hand towels had holes in them. The electrical outlet on one side of the bed was bashed in and the adapter wouldn't fit. The condition of the property is not very good at all, but it is clean and in an excellent location for tourists. We decided to stay the whole 4 days. The front desk people were helpful, especially as regards to catching a ride share as the bus stop is directly in front of the hotel and no one else can stop there. Ride share must be caught in front of the bus stop.

Staff were friendly and helpful and check in was a quick and smooth process. Hotel was about a 10 min walk from the train stations and easy to find. However, I had read previous reviews about rooms that smelt musty and mouldy, and that’s exactly what I got. I had a standard single room and it was so difficult to breathe, despite the air con being on. Staff couldn’t change my room as the hotel was fully booked, but they did come to spray air freshener, which only helped for about 5 mins. I would have gone to stay somewhere else if it wasn’t so late. Definitely unsafe for your health and lungs and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Perhaps other rooms may not be as bad, but if you get given room 407, I strongly advise you request a change! I’m just awaiting to see if I can receive any compensation for it.
