The Hotel is in a good location. Thank goodness for the balcony as the rooms are very small with just enough room to walk around the bed and no where to really put luggage. If it didn't have a balcony to sit on it would have been claustrophobic.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel with two young kids on our way to Vietnam. The room and bathroom were tight, but still convenient because we used them only at night to get few hours of sleep. We liked the location of this hotel because it’s close to the taxi and train station, convince stores, currency exchange businesses and erveral restaurants including a nice food court. The staff we interacted with were all very helpful.

Very convenient because it’s near the MRT as well as bus station. The access to food around the place is walkable too, there’s even a food court 3 mins away. Outside the hotel there’s a convenience store selling water and some chips and drinks and also souvenirs. The door in the room is not that sound proof because one can hear people walk by and also talk. The drain in the shower is also slow to remove water and has some smell. The area of the room is a little small for 2 people with medium sized luggages but the room is clean and bed comfortable. The staff is helpful.

This is the second time we have stayed at V Hotel Bencoolen. The rooms are very clean but on the small size for two people. It does have a nice swimming pool and laundry machines. The metro station is one door down with restaurants and a food court nearby. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is located centrally and was very close to shopping, a variety of restaurants, and public transportation. In fact, the MRT stations are very close to it. The hotel rooms are small though but is fine for travelers who just spend most of their time outside. TV cable/channel selection though is very limited.

Overpriced for the reality.

Positives first, genuinely located so well. Next door to mrt downtown line for easy access, and also directline to changi airport. Easy walk to little India. East bus to orchard road. Has a big swimming pool which was welcome (they should get rid of the 1990 lips sofa and repaint the area it looks grey and grim but would be lovely if they did that, has towels and loungers) and good lifts. Bathroom clean. However bed was a hard board, and room small (ok for 1 person) the smell in bathroom was horrible sort of sewage, and really dusty. breakfast is next door and was extremely poor. No juice, no yoghurt, 1 red jam, fruit is watermelon, or orange or apple is fruit choice. Eggs, beans and noodles I think. At least it’s air con. About the restaurant next door, the sister hotel has similar set up Mi Bencoolen hotel, but theirs was even worse, filthy and greasy disgusting place. Paid £100 a night.
