Beautifil Facade but some faciity problems

Pros: The employees. Everyone were very nice, polite and willing to assist.
Cons: The hot water limit time should be avoided! or at the very least they should made this limititation clear at the time of booking.
Location: Close to the airport. Restaurants, bars and Hawker Centres. Lovely dog cafe less than 50m that helps abandon pups being adopted. Not for shopping.
The best thing about this hotel is the service. Staff a very friendly and very helpful. The location close to the airport is good if you only need the room for flight connections. The rooms are ok with new fittings and clean, but unfortunately that's were it ends. The rooms are extremely small, there is not even a place to put your luggage on, so if you are travelling with a couple of bags they need to be opened in the walk way. Not to bad for one person but two people in a room would struggle, Hardly any natural light comes in because it is not possible to open the old windows and they are blocked. The worse part is the limited timing on the hot water in the shower. While I am water saver, a long hot shower is a must after a long flight, but not possible in this hotel. I am also not a fan on glass doors for the bathroon, that is one area were privacy is essential.

Handy location with the feel of old Singapore.

Price and proximity to Changi were the deciding factors for me. Finding myself in a part of Singapore that retains the way I remember the city when I first visted 3 decades ago was a bonus. Small room but met my needs. Unfortunately it had previously had a smoker in it who had ignored the non-smoking rule.

Ok for short stay

Tiny room but it's to be expected, no where to put luggage... and the hot water runs out after about 8 mins so if 2 people want a shower you have to wait a while for the hot water to replenish. Staff were nice and friendly.

Pros: Price, only $12 to $15 taxi to most places area has plenty food and drinks. Best steak and cheapest Chili crab I in Singapore, nearby.
Cons: Small Asian room a d a little too far from Singapore Central
Location: Reasonable access, Near transport, Out of town ..taxi t/port
Facilities: Basic, Neat clean small basic; Listen to the local taxi drivers, value for money eat where the locals eat
