Gîte du Château de Sivignon
Christelle & Patrice welcome you to an elegant 18th century building, built partly on the remains of a very rare & authentic old fortified "castle" from the 11th century, of which a guard tower remains, steeped in great history & completely restored, nestled in peace on the immediate edge of pastures & meadows close to a small pond. At the edge of the heart of the peaceful little typical village of Sivignon nestled on the foothills of the famous Butte de Suin, culminating at an altitude of 600m on the watershed line between the Atlantic Ocean & the Mediterranean, iconic panoramic sentinel of Saône-et-Loire offers a literally exceptional 360° view, up to Mont-Blanc on a clear day (a local saying even claims that you can see 52 steeples there!). Total tranquility in the middle of the Clunisoise countryside, nestled on a vast "open" plateau of bucolic hilly bocage dominated by the wooded ridges of the many surrounding wild forests (to be explored on foot or mountain bike), in the hollow of a magnificent classified & protected natural area in "Zone Natura 2000" (for the quality of its rich ecosystem). Lovely rural & natural preserved setting, 100% soothing and relaxing. Spacious comfortable cottage. Warm country character. Large west-facing terrace opening onto a large private garden of 2500m², lawned & planted with trees (where a majestic hundred-year-old walnut tree stands), equipped with a pétanque court, perfect natural "play area" for children (with swing, turnstile & badminton net). Superb panorama & landscapes. Composition: Detached house on one level. Wireless. Electric heating. Gîte on the ground floor: living room-kitchen-lounge, 2 bedrooms (double bed 160x200cm / 2 single beds 90x190cm), bathroom (shower), separate toilet. Terrace + 2500m² garden (with children's games and badminton) + pétanque court + bike room + private parking. Shops 10 km. All amenities 19 km.
