Reception staff where pleasant and polite The outside areas resembled a skip The interior wasn't clean , it was so grim The room was freezing , no heating in the bathroom , i had to sleep in my fleece and jacket The food was disgusting The description on the 'Hotels.com' website didn't in anyway reflect the true state of the place , totally misleading, how can i book with confidence now via Hotels.com ?? Do not stay at this place !!!

We really enjoyed our stay, our room was clean and even had a little extra heater provided which was a nice touch. Everywhere was clean, the breakfast was delicious and cooked lovely. The bar was very nice too with board games and a nice selection of drinks. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Would recommend and would stay again. Thank you!

2 men on reception are friendly. Good selection of breakfast and tasted very nice. Our room was a twin. Cleanliness of the room wasnt the best as there was dust on skirting boards and on the bedside table..did not complain as still enjoyed our time. Hotel needs updating in many areas however it mustve been a spectacular building in its time. Definitely would stay again..

The hotel in side is very tired. The room was ok, new shower curtain and nice bedding. Breakfast was a disaster. There were a lot of guests staying at the hotel and we are not sure why it’s in the condition it is.

The information on hotel.com needs updating.The checkout time is 1030 not 11 and the breakfast is 0800 until 0930 not 0730 The hotel gave us an upgrade to a balcony room which was appreciated.
