We booked the cottage for 8 to celebrate some family birthdays. Overall we had a great stay but there are a few things that could do with a little attention. Positives: a great location, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. The open plan living, kitchen and dining area were perfect for a sociable family weekend. Negatives: Curtains in each bedroom didn't fit the windows properly and there were a few light bulbs out throughout the property. The hot tub was great when it finally fired up after a couple of hours working with the maintenance guy. Our biggest bug bear however was the arrival of the cleaners at 9:05 on our check out day, when we weren't due to leave until 10am. This put us under pressure to pack up and leave before we were quite ready to and took the gloss off an otherwise enjoyable weekend.

Don’t go for the hot tub
Some of the property was a little tired, the hot tub was old and dirty and we never got to use it

Fabulous property in the Yorkshire Dales
The hosts were amazing before and then throughout the stay. The setting is great for families, situated alongside the fishery with farm animals at the fence. The views are spectacular in a great location with a cafe on site and a pub 100yds down the road. The accommodation is well furnished, with cosy bedrooms and a spacious dining & entertaining space. Overall we were really impressed.
