A good hotel in the centre of Sofia

I typically look at the convenience of the hotel location as the first criterion when choosing a place to stay while travelling. It is very close to Serdika Metro station with one of the subway lines comes from the airport - so no need to take a cab. Close to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (the couple trips I booked had a gathering spot in this area) and a few other attractions. My hotel room was clean. The breakfast sufficient.

Hotel is recently renovated and everything is clean and fresh. Location is very central for walking to all the main tourist sites, the metro and tram system is also good and quite cheap too. The buffet breakfast is amazing with a good spread of choice and also has excellent options for vegetarians too. There is also a huge supermarket on the main road, not far from the hotel, which is handy.

Fairly small hotel and yet the stay comes with breakfast which was decent. 24/7 open reception is a plus (as I arrived super lat at 1:00am due to disastrous flight connection in a nearby country.) I was worried about by late arrival so I sent the hotel several messages to alert them and they were quick to respond to me. The young man at the reception welcomed me upon arrival. Very cute art decorations throughout the facility and the room I stayed it. When I woke up on the same morning, I had a little time to explore the area but there wasn’t much to see unlike the other hotel I stayed at at the end of the trip. Overall however, it is a nice hotel which I will consider utilizing it when/if I am in the city again in the future. Oh, they have an elevator!

An art immersion!

I was completely satisfied. The bedding was comfortable and inviting. The room was quiet, the bathroom was perfect. The building is beautifully designed and interesting. There is great access to the city from the location. The breakfast was filling and reliably tasty.

A special place with real heart I stayed at the wonderful Hotel 158 from May 7th to 10th and absolutely loved it. It’s centrally located, with a creative, artistic vibe—there was even an exhibition happening while I was there, which made the place feel alive and unique. The staff were incredibly kind—Tomas was calm and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for him including all the taxis I ordered. Maria, whom I only met once, left a handwritten note and a book for me on my last day as an early birthday gift. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really touched me. This hotel has real soul with it being decorated with paintings from local artists. I left feeling truly seen and cared for. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Mark N

Actually is as quite reasonable .except the breakfast was very poor. All dishes and the coffee were cold. Not impressed.range of food offered not as good as Moxy hotel. Hotel is very well poitioned. Free waljing tour did not turn up. SOFIA is a beautiful city. Pleanty of police around. But you needat least 4 or 5 days. The downstairs bar was brilliant. Not cheap

Overall, this is a standard hotel but the way the person at the counter did everything possible to make me feel welcome was astonishing. The hotel itself has been recently refreshed and it looks clean and new but none of the activities were attractive to me on Easter bank holiday.
