Not a very happy customer

We were there for my granddaughter’s wedding on Sunday. We checked in on Saturday and stayed until Monday. The ac didn’t work at all. My room 311 was a sauna while the bridal party was getting ready. My granddaughter’s room 631 was just as hot and they have a 15 month old baby who got no sleep so therefore the bride and groom got no sleep

The staff at this hotel is top notch. But this hotel is so outdated. No USB ports at all, tiny bathrooms, the drapes are broken and let light in from the atrium, and the AC units make a ton of noise. The rooms that overlook the atrium are so loud - the kids playing in the atrium til midnight echo up to the top floor rooms. Good price if you can get past these items.

The young lady working at the desk was very personable . The room service food was horrible the only thing that was really edible was the boneless wings the fries were old brown and greasy I asked for mustard for the hot dog no mustard just a whole bunch of ketchup and our refrigerator in our room did not work

Great staycation

The room was clean & very inviting. The beverage fridge is always nice to have on hand. The breakfast was more than i expected! Whole bunch of food and everything tasted great besides the French toast sticks. They were plain with no flavor but that wasn't a big deal. Overall a great stay! If I'm in need of a staycation Doubletree will definitely be on that list!

First time staying at this Doubletree here in South Bend, and all I can say is that it was a pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and actually held a conversation with me while checking me in! He even gave me warm chocolate chip cookies for my family and I! The room was clean and the bed was a dream! The view of the river was the cherry on top. Loved the stay so much I booked an extra night. If we needed something, either from housekeeping or front desk, they made sure our needs were satisfied. If we are ever in the South Bend area again, I will book another stay there.

Our room was large we did have a small party going on next door to us and I had to call down to the lobby desk at just before 10:00 and he assured me that party was ending at 10:00 and it did. When the couple that was staying in that room returned at 2:30 a.m. they were loud and I just knocked on the wall and they quit right away they were connecting rooms. The Breakfast Buffet was delicious! We had a very good server taking care of us getting us water and taking away dirty dishes I don't recall his name but he was young and very thin. We were within walking distance for The Cher Show at Morris Performing Arts and then dinner at Cafe Nirvana would highly recommend both! We may return to see Chicago this summer and would definitely stay at the DoubleTree again.

The Doubletree has been my go to for the past 5 years while in South Bend for work. I won’t be back. Property is tired and worn down. Cleanliness has really declined as well.
