Inexpensive but needs a real good cleaning

Check in was quick. There were two signs on the check-in desk stating that a $100 cash deposit was required. The person in front of me was asked for this deposit. I didn’t have that much cash but I was never asked to provide it. In general the room was clean and looked nice. There was a strange smell - maybe some kind of air freshener spray? The first thing I noticed was the floor of the shower. It appeared to be dirty. The baseboard in the bathroom was also dirty. The bedspread, which is also the blanket, had a spot on it that looked suspiciously like blood. It did not appear that it had been laundered because the stain was red. There was also quite a bit of mold on the caulking around the air conditioner.

I booked and paid online. Nowhere online did it state anything about a $100 cash deposit, but when I got there they wanted the $100 cash deposit. They would not take a credit card for it. I was on the second floor and threre was no elevator and have bad knees which makes hard to climb up down steps every time.

Cheap facilities: one door on the shower, water all over the floor, no place to hang items in bathroom, small room Outside area seemed unsafe: "Do not back into parking spot" signs - to help deter auto theives? People hanging around property calling out for a "light". People in parking lot fighting and yelling about calling the police.
