Rather old hotel rebranded as a Wyndham. Staff trying hard to please but old carpeting in rooms , frayed and worn carpeting in hallway. To pay over $300/ night for this dump was insane. Wyndham name is sullied being associated with this place.

Upon arrival for our second night we found that no maid service had been done. We called for this to be rectified. Wasn’t informed upon checking in that I had to request second day service. The light above the coffee maker was no working, needed to see instructions on making coffee. The shower was difficult to understand its operation.

I booked a room 6 months in advance for a concert. Wyndham realized they could make a lot more money by not accepting my reservation (and many others) and failed to notify anyone. What transpired was an absolute mess. All so Wyndham could make a few extra bucks. I will never stay at another Wyndham ever again. And Expedia has yet to reimburse me for my expenses. An all around disappointing situation that could have been remedied by Wyndham doing the right thing. There were many of us that had no where to go hours before the concert. Some had to sleep in their vehicles. I had to drive an hour in the opposite direction of where I live just to have a place for my family to sleep that night. Do better! You just lost a lot of customers.

Expedia royally screwed up our weekend. The only solution that was given was a $25 credit to Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel we gave them our last name. Expedia never communicated our reservation to the hotel. They asked us if we booked in March 2025, we said yes, and they mentioned we were one of several people this happened to this day. We spent an hour on the phone with customer service at Expedia and they were not able to find any hotels in South Bend Indiana as a replacement. Expedia even sent out a confirmation booking reminder two days before the trip. We had to spend the night in our car and all we received back was a refund. This is completely unacceptable. The customer service rep asked us if he wanted to stay in a different state. Honestly hard to believe this situation was even real, this was planned five months in advance and was for my wife's 40th bday. To even offer the $25 credit was a complete slap in the face. We spent four hours driving, paying for child care and we weren't even offered a suitable replacement for Expedias mistake. This to me at least a $1000 mistake and we should have a weekend of a hotel booked in a city of our choosing compensated by Expedia.

I’ve traveled to most states & 20 foreign countries. Staff at Wyndham South Bend are exceptional. Tracy, Christine, & Jo went over & beyond in making my stay wonderful. Thank you. Liked the 24/7 front desk. The room was well laid out with lots of work space & wardrobe closets. And the bed/mattress was divine. Overall…a great value for the money.

Room was perfectly fine (clean, cozy, modern). Location was convenient for venturing out & not far from Notre Dame. Only complaint, was no fault of the property. As soon as we arrived to where the room was on the backside of the property, there were two, rough individuals smoking weed & drinking in the parking lot at 3p on a Wednesday. Didn’t feel comfortable leaving my vehicle parked where I had it, so loved it to a more open area with more cars/people. Something the property will need to address, but otherwise, the stay was perfectly fine.

I had a confirmation number and email but no room. I believe the hotel bumped me since I reserved early at a cheaper price. Very disappointing and will never stay here.

Bathroom smelled like mildew. Shower grout was black and appeared moldy in some spots. Air conditioner sounded like a jet taking off every time it kicked on, no counter in the bathroom for toiletries. We booked a king room and got 2 full size beds. And people we booked with had their reservations not get transitioned over when The Clove Hotel was bought out by wingate and we had a terrible experience trying to get them into another hotel due to the concert event happening at Notre Dame with insanely priced rooms with the surcharges.
