Originally built in the 1920s as a communal dance hall and dining space serving the surrounding cottage community, 228 Brockway has been completely gutted and beautifully rehabilitated, bringing this historic property back to life in 2009.
Today, this spacious two-level home comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests and offers plenty of room to spread out, relax, and make memories.
The main level features 3 comfortable bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, along with a beautifully finished living space perfect for gathering with family and friends. Upstairs, you'll find an additional sleeping area for 6 guests, a fun media area for movie nights, and one of the home's most unique features — a hidden play loft that kids will love discovering!
Outside, enjoy the spacious front yard complete with a firepit and patio, perfect for evening drinks, s'mores, and gathering under the stars. A beautiful stone walkout area provides additional outdoor seating and creates a welcoming space to relax after a day at the beach.
And the location is hard to beat. Oak Street Beach is just a few minutes away on foot, while the home is also conveniently close to downtown South Haven, local parks, and the many beautiful beaches on the north side.

We had a great stay at the Brockway House! The house is large, spacious, and clean. Our kids loved the extra kid toys that were available and us parents appreciated the beach wagon that was available for use. The large dining area was great for our group but we especially loved sitting outside. They provided enough firewood for our visit which was a nice extra touch so we could have bonfires a few of the nights. We hope to return in the future!
