Was near a McDonald's,TGIF,IKEA,A small mall and the Southampton Central Train station.All walkable distance of less than 5 minutes from the hotel.The room smelt very clean.Didnt like how tea stuff were not in the room.Apparently you have to request the kettle etc. and pay a 10 pound deposit to get them,the money is returned when kettle etc. are returned.

Room was functional and clean. Iif you are sticking to a budget and you just need somewhere to sleep, with just the basics, then this is ok. Check in was straightforward. Our room was ready for a refurb and the view from our window wasn’t great. The area seemed ok, but a bit run down. Approx 10 mins walk to city centre, which is handy

Classic ibis I suppose. Location is really bad if you are wanting to check out Southampton. There is a McDonalds and a TGI Fridays next door, otherwise you’ll need to walk 15 minutes to find something to eat. Staff were uninterested, opting to look at their phones in the back room instead of assisting people waiting at reception. Rooms are fine, but there is no power points anywhere near the bed. Wouldn’t recommend if you want to get anywhere without a car, seems like a fine hotel for those just travelling through on business or otherwise who just need a bed for a night.

Ok hotel but very overpriced. Room was too hot, and air conditioning pre set to not go below 23 degrees so a noisy waste of time and energy. Great location. Felt like an inconvenience to the cleaning staff who took up the one lift and huffed as we tried to get to the stairs instead!

Dirty, filthy, overpriced dump, stay away !

Total ripoff, prices surged almost 100 percent. Room dirty, all soap receptacles empty, room had a used toilet paper roll, floors so dirty, my white socks were black, the room heater wheel broken off, it was on its side. Microwave in lobby filthy another guest was repulsed and wouldn’t use it. The desk manager was advised of these issues and didn’t offer to fix our room issues. The only offer a free breakfast and after seeing the microwave filth, we declined. Station away from this badly run dump !
