Great location, close to the park but not in the midst of the throngs, easy to organize biking expeditions on the carriage roads, east blue hill, and cranberry is via nearby Bass Harbor ferry
We had an awesome time at the Bird’s Eye View. It had everything we needed for our stay exploring Acadia, and the bonus view of sunrise over the water in Southwest Harbor was amazing.
Lovely little cottage that has everything you need when you need a clean, well located base camp for your hiking trips. Would definitely vacation here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was in a beautiful spot with a nice view of the water. And it was in a very peaceful and quiet area. The cottage was perfect for our little family of three.
We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was clean, bright, airy, and surrounded by nature. We looked forward to the sunrise each morning and relaxing with the harbor view. It was an easy walk to town and an easy drive to Acadia. Although we enjoyed Bar Harbor, we were happier to have stayed in a more remote location. It was a wonderful experience!
This cottage is in a wonderful location for having peace, quiet and a great view, but also being very close in driving distance to the National Park. There are several places to eat within easy walking distance. The cottage is very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. If we go back to Acadia we would definitely stay here.It was comfortable and communication with the owner was easy.
Very Nice property with a great location. everything was as advertised in the listing. property manager was accessible and very responsive. we enjoyed sitting on the deck and the adirondack chairs and enjoying the harbor view. short walk into town
Stay was good. Started out a little hot, but cooled down. Few small things that I already messaged the manager about. Great place to stay. I think we will be back .
We loved the little ‘Birdseye View’ cottage!! It was exactly what we were looking for - close to Acadia but not as hectic as Bar Harbor. We could visit Bar Harbor when we wanted and then retreat to our quiet little place to relax. We sat on the little porch looking at the harbor every morning and evening and used the fire pit one night. Super!Southwest Harbor is the close town with cute little stores and a few restaurants - Beal’s Lobster Pier is good and even if you aren’t eating, you can watch the lobster boats come and unload if you are at the right time.
Cottage is a cute one meant for just 2 people. Living room & kitchen are together which gives it an appearance of big room. Everything worked fine except the shower which took a long time to give hot water. Something is wrong with it. Also, the shower does not have door and has only curtain. Shower Water leaks thru the curtain on the sides and forms puddle in the bathroom. These things needs to be fixed. Shops & restaurants are close by which is very useful.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
The bedroom is not much bigger than the bed. So clothing is hung on hooks and an under bed drawer. The site is terrific and quiet.2 chairs on the deck but no table.Bathroom sink was clogged up and not taken care of. Bedroom overhead light did not work. Manager was good on arrival bringing items that had not been provided. But then was unavailable.
